1. Yes and no. There are some brands that I look down my nose at, but they aren't necessarily cheap brands, there some are high priced ones I wouldn't want for free.
2. Looks like our humour eradication scheme is going well, excellent !
3. Man do I love the taste of puppies in the morning.

I can only echo everyone else's sentiment so far. He was one of, if not the biggest contributor to the forum and his knowledge and helpfulness will be missed greatly.
5. That looks pretty damned good. I'm sanding my Yamaha down after a failed respray attempt (lacquer crazed) and am looking for inspiration. A burst type finish like this would look pretty snazzy.
6.
However, IMHO none of that excuses rudeness, especially in a conversation between what is essentially a retailer a customer. Plenty of people do great things for charity and manage not to be complete nobs at the same time.
This is the issue I have personally, he seems to have disassociated himself from customer service by thinking it has to be sacrificed to protect the brand.
7. Hi Pete, welcome to the forum.
8. Nicky Wire - The Manic Street Preachers. He is very stiff and his playing very predictable - it may be sufficient for the music but if it were me, i'd want to improve myself.
9. I had a '96 Ray that was like that, pole edges were quite sharp ! I think you only option is dropping the pickup height itself.
10. I'll lock this thread and let it drop through the forum, i'm going to leave it here for any potential buyers to look at if they choose to check the sellers history. Shonks, I suggest you wait a few days and repost, I just hope the next thread doesn't get to [s]5[/s] 6 pages .
11. 3 bass rule ? Who's stupid idea was that ?! That's one sexy bass.
12.
Which banned member* are you Basebass! On topic, good luck with sale Shonks but I would start a new FS thread if I were you * Joined BC today
I know who it is and have contacted their original account (not banned) .
13. Ok i'll leave it as it is .
14. Shonks, let me know if you want this thread removed and then you can post a new one with the correct info and none of the debating .
15. It's a terrible forum, you haven't got a chance of a fair discussion in there, far too much bias. Fair enough it is administered by the company itself - but their attitude is very pompous and arrogant, they will not accept criticism. I'm sure once someone got flamed for wanting to replace the OEM pickup and discussing what would be a good replacement, apparently discussing 'competitor products' is very rude.
16. Pretty damned good. Maybe a little treble heavy on the snares but I may be talking crap (like usual) .
17. What I found most unusual about that video was the 8 string bass. I'm getting harder to shock...
18. That is truly insane. How does it do on batteries ?!
19. Wow that's beautiful, bet it won't last long.
20. Escape to Wolverhampton ? Sheesh, talking about frying pan into fire .
21.
Speaking as an unrepentant, dyed-in-the-wool prog rocker, I agree with you 100%. Dream Theater are a horrendous celebration of seemingly endless simultaneous instrumental masturbation, topped off with caricature 80s cheese-rock histrionic squealing. Never before in the course of musical history has any band quite so roundly failed to get the point of the "music" they endeavour to create. Unrelentingly wretched.
Argh, blasphemy ! It took me a lot of listening to 'get' Dream Theater, and I mean all of their albums about 3-4 times each. Their music is very contextual and mostly has to be listened to as an album rather than a collection of singles. This is definitely the case for Scenes From a Memory and Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence. John Myung is amazingly talented but alas does exhibit the personality of a cadaver, his playing is generally supportive rather than extravagant. p.s. I don't usually bite but this one struck a nerve . I'm sure dood will support me on this !
22. Comes with box, screws in good condition . Took this off a Stingray I sold a couple of years ago, been in storage since ! Would swap for BT7 (to fit MIM Jazz).
23. Agreed on the bargain, i'd snap your hand off if only I well, didn't already have one .
24. Really ? I thought it only opened a year or 2 ago ? Went there with my Dad last year and was quite impressed with the place. That said it didn't strike me as well located and we were the only people there..
