  1. Warwickhunt made good on a long-standing promise and offered this to me before putting it up here. Unfortunately I don’t have the means at the moment, otherwise… you know. FWIW I’ve gigged it recently and it remains a holy grail head for me. The effortless detail and dynamics it puts out are astonishing.
  2. I've got PAT stickers on my stuff that I bought from eBay just in case, but I've never been asked.
  3. I guess you could get into the minutiae of it, but - in my opinion - it's not live. It's been done already, and it's being played back. Not that Ed cares what I think, mind.
  4. As live as recording it the day before, I guess.
  5. "...everything you hear tonight is completely live.." No it isn't.
  6. It might not be, but only because not enough people ask for them like this.
  7. Sure is a Limelight...
  8. Natural disaster..?
  9. I believe that's one of Finnie Vodera's best creations.
  10. FWIW, lovely as the oval ultralites are, they’d look a bit odd on a Limelight (IMO). Resolites are equally lovely, and look authentic (but aren’t oval, obv.)
  11. Last show ‘ever’ at the O2 tonight. Mr. Gabriel is there, in an audience capacity at least….
  12. I believe the necks are Allparts, and the bodies and pickups are their own.
  13. The may well be lovely basses (haven't played on yet) but do they still use captive gerbils to nibble at the edge of the bodies? That always put me off a bit.
  14. They're great. Do a search on BC and you'll find loads of info.
  15. It was merged with a similar thread and the other thread's title won.
  16. It all goes a bit Spirit of Radio around the 2m mark, doesn't it? ...or rather Spirit of Radio went a bit Sadistic Mika Band.
  17. I think the OP is asking about valve heads, not hybrids.
  18. It's well played, but... jeez. Those vocals.
  19. Speaking from experience, the producers will constantly be on the lookout for even the slightest thread of an angle, a story to tell… even if it only becomes a ‘thing’ in the edit suite.
  20. Aye, the Handbox WB-100 is just the job. It's a thing of (very loud) beauty.
  21. St . Paddy's gig at one of Newcastle's most beautiful bars. Here's some singalong bits. Absolutely heaving, and a great afternoon. On the down side, it'll be a miracle if we don't all get covid.
  22. I've gigged this - it's an absolute monster with tonal flexibility for days and days.
  23. I had a similar quandary recently, but the commute would have been Newcastle > Liverpool. I really had to think long and hard and eventually decided not to... in my heart I knew it wasn't practical, and I didn't want to be in a position where I'd have to leave them in the lurch. It went against all my instincts, but it was the fairest decision for them. (Note: if there had been a big tour or something at the end of it, the outcome might have been different, but it was all a bit tentative.) YMMV etc.
  24. No offers in threads, please - contact the seller directly. Thank you.
  25. Hello Nick! No problem - ask away 🙂 Short answer to question #1 - I haven't used one for four years, and basically my mind was in R-400 mode. I'd completely forgotten about running the output wide-open until now. Here's a clip of the gig. You can't see the room, but it's a fairly large concert room in a club, with about 200 people in it. I had PA support. Volume-wise, certainly no challenge for the WB-100. It probably didn't even notice.
