Just to buck the trend I'd like to add my twopenneth on the Vista vs XP debate.
My 1st homebuild PC was in the early days of XP and proved a nightmare to set up. The usual saga of instability ensued until SP2 was installed and seemed to sort things out.
Vista on the other hand, with this much more suitable home built PC and my Vaio laptop has been absolute joy.
So Vista? Bring it on
And thanks for the link

Another new member posting to sell doesn't annoy me half so much as existing members posting comments that kill the sale stone dead when there's a perfectly good pm system.
No surprise in the modern BC though.

+1 on Finn's comment.
I believe that everyone should have a pre 92 Thumb NT in their bass wardrobe. The neck is so wonderful I could eat it. Growls like a Grizzly and made like a real Mercedes. In fact the parallel with Mercedes abounds in that early Mercs were built to a standard that modern ones can't compete with.
This is an opportunity that only those in the know truly appreciate.
Forget more modern Warwicks IMO, this is the real deal.
So bump!!

Hiya
Yep mine is the non export P/J and it's absolutely mint in that 'off white' colour (Olympic?) with black edging and scratchplate.
It never gets played as I have about 19 other basses and only ever have 4 or 5 actually out of their cases.
Every time I get it out I find myself wanting to hang on to it
But, the right offer would make me consider letting it go to help fund Uni.

I really enjoyed the earlier Level 42 stuff when MK happened to front a band called 'Level 42'. It then became 'MK slaps for attention' and lost it's appeal. Because of this it's become customary to knock all lvl 42 stuff methinks which I feel is a bit of a shame.

Hiya all
I have a very nice blue Mk1 TRB6 that I'd be interested in trading for the right Mk1 TRB4. A TRB4P even. Comes with origial case.
Why, I'm more likely to use a 4 than a 6 and I already have a lovely TRB5P.

Surely I'm not alone?
Musically I love Jaco Pastorious. His playing sends me into realms of musical delight that few other bass players can manage. Nuance, tone and feel are superb.

I think it's an excessive 20! (Possibly 19?) Although I'm not totally certain. One of those is sold awaiting the original owner to raise the funds to buy it back and I've a new bass being made by Alan at ACG
Oh and that was a 'fish' for a BBC bite but he's not taking it
Peter
I know I'm biased but these older Thumbs really are stunning basses. Great wood and superb build quality and they really growl!
I particularly like the figuring on that body.
All the best with the sale.

Colin's sound, if a bit pricey. He imports new and used from the US.
Not an authorised dealer though I suspect. I bought a Ric from him some yrs ago. He also imports Laklands, F basses and the odd Musicman too.
