I currently have 45-105 flats on my Jazz bass and am looking at tapes for something with a similar sound but more flexibility.
Going between the gold and copper tapes in the 50-105 gauges.
Did anyone have issues with installation at the bridge or nut?
Thanks.
Californication was a great album.
By The Way was definitely more song focused than anything previously.
I like BSSM but it's almost too perfect if that makes sense?
Hmm...
I'm a long time Chili Peppers fan.
Great to see John back in the band and he just adds that little something that Josh never did.
If someone told me this was a Californication / By The Way era B side, I would probably believe them.
I think I know the answer but wanted to check...
My nut is cut for 45-105 gauge strings.
Would changing gauge to 40-100 mean I would have to recut the nut?
Thanks.
This!
Please get into this now before irreversible damage is done. Strengthening your muscles works wonders but it takes a few weeks before you notice any differences.
Reading around the forum, it seems to me that a lot of players cannot do a basic set-up.
Adjusting the truss rod, action at the bridge and nut, intonation. I guess you could also include pickup heights.
Would like to hear some thoughts on this!
Thanks guys.
I took the knobs off to realign the position markers but couldn't remember if the volume knobs were supposed to be almost level with the control plate.
