  1. Welcome to club Sandberg! I thought that too after getting my TM4 SL... extremely well built, plays like a dream and the tonal options are huge. Enjoy.
  2. Sandberg TT4. Can be had in passive. Can also be had has a Super Light model. Absolute steal secondhand.
  3. Iommi for sure is a riff general... but then again, I always preferred Sabbath to Zeppelin!
  4. My one and only bass right now is a Sandberg TM4 Super Light. J and MM pickups so plenty of tonal options. Active and passive in case the battery dies mid set. Extremely light weight so no bad shoulder! I always check my bass once over each month to make sure everything is tip-top so that way I never need to bring a back up. I haven't done so in nearly 20 years playing gigs.
  5. I'm a big fan of the La Bella low tension flats. Like TIs but with a slightly different tonal quality.
  6. If you don't have a Fender, you're a nobody. Jeez, is this the 60s?! 🤣
  7. Interesting point about clothing. I believe some people do not understand that just because you can afford 'luxury' fashion, doesn't mean you should or will even look good in it. Someone's clothes that fit them well will always look better than someone's clothes that do not - whatever the price tag is.
  8. I would go the DI / IEM route. The less strain you put on your heart, the better.
  9. I don't know about higher price indicating higher quality but I do know that a good set-up on any bass can make it feel like a million bucks.
  10. At least .130 gauge for the B and a correctly cut nut will do wonders.
  11. OR... Don't buy things you can't afford (or are overpriced)?
  12. I guess some people thought B***** would be just rainbows and lollipops...
  13. I rated them back in the day - don't judge them off this performance.
  14. I had no problem purchasing one in February. That's because all the 'plastic' cyclists will start to come out in Spring and snap everything up. 😂
  15. I had a Bongo around ten years ago... why did I let it go?!
  16. I bought a brand new Cutlass a couple years ago and it wasn't even properly shielded... I like MM basses but the QC in recent years has been a bit hit and miss for me.
  17. If it were me, I would be looking at a 300w combo, ideally a 1x15 or a 2x10. That way, it covers both practice and gigs. You will get far more value for your money secondhand. If you must purchase new, this Ashdown combo would fit the bill: https://www.andertons.co.uk/bass-dept/bass-amps/bass-amp-combos/ashdown-studio-15-bass-combo-300w-1-x-15
  18. This video is very useful for those unsure on how to set up their instrument.
