  1. Caught this video of the Joyo UD by @Dosi Y'Anarchy and was really impressed. Does it maintain your low end that well?
  2. Thank you Guy Fawkes for Bonefire Night so that it will cover up the unholy dim that is Abba.
  3. I only use DR Strings nowadays and it's still cheaper to ship them over from the States than to buy here.
  4. Which is why I posted this thread with my original question: "Would there be any advantage to getting a Radial / Countryman to use instead?"
  5. All I'm after is a good quality DI that I can use live and send a strong signal to the FOH. Possibly for recording also.
  6. I'm assuming you mean the front part of the MM pickup?
  7. I always use the pre EQ option when DI'ing from my amp so I'm not super fussed about getting something with controls - my Sandberg already has plenty of tonal options on tap.
  8. I have an MXR M80 that is only used as an emergency DI for gigs. Would there be any advantage to getting a Radial / Countryman to use instead? 95% of gigs I play is Sandberg > Polytune > Markbass combo.
  9. Sandberg TM owners - does the coil tap select the front or back coils of the MM pickup?
  10. Been going on that mantra for the last 20 years!
  11. Keep your chin up and keep looking - something that suits your tastes better is sure to be out there.
  12. I bought a Peavey Microbass for £20 off Gumtree! Great little amp.
  13. But you have had to regularly check that the nut isn't coming loose.
  14. There's the problem... Dunlop's require no maintenance bar a squirt of lube once a year.
  15. I'm not after a Fender. I don't care where it's made. Ironically, I did go for a Japanese built bass that I believe is light years ahead of Fender QC - Bacchus.
  16. Dunlop's for me. Schaller had to modify their original design because it was flawed.
