    One memory that sticks out is turning up to an audition for a rock band and I bought along my Spector Euro. The lead guitarist asked me what bass I was using and I told him Spector. The lead player turns to the rhythm guitarist and says "Are they any good?". 💀

    Can anyone recommend some stoner/doom bands that are actively touring and relatively new? Big fan of Sleep and saw them at the Manchester Ritz in 2019 but would like to see more of this regularly.

    How common is snobbery in the bass world? How many of you scoff at someone who plays a Squier instead of a Fender? Coming from two of my other interests, watches and whisky, where snobs are left, right and centre, how does the bass world compare?

    2016 USA Fender Standard Jazz. The last of the CS pickup run. Amazing bass. Strung with XLs.

    In my experience, lowest to highest tension: TI Jazz Flats, La Bella Low Tension Flats, Dunlop Flats, GHS Precision Flats, La Bella Deep Talking Flats, D'Addario Chromes / Fender 9050s, DR Legends, Roto 77s.

    I would say so. The amount of pop up businesses that have a FB page has their website is shocking. Makes you look cheap and tacky.

    Never understood this obsession with balanced tension. Mismatched strings with wildly different gauges.
