1.
If tests are supposedly too technical for most to comphrend, translate, analyse or relate to something meaniful, then they are just as worthless in some regard. At the end of the day, you aren't going to buy something marvelously spec'd but sounds horrible to your ears... you just wouldn't, surely... For me, there is enough about the Baer cabs to be worth a demo...and then we would go from there...even though I don't need any more cabs. I like the design look and the spec sounds good...so the next step would be to hear them in my context. Subjective views are just as valid as the technical review, IMO.. they all build a pciture. but they don't make you buy them unheard or unseen.
+1 but I'm so far North I have NO chance of getting to hear these cabs!
 2.
...that cool little piping around the edge.
Walnut sandwich between the front and back woods... sorry if that is stating the obvious and you knew that.
 3. Nice one discreet.
 4. Apology accepted... three times! Time might be tight but it will pay dividends to put a pic up, if nothing else it'll save you having to PM folk the pictures every time they ask.
 5. I always liked this colour combo/look and I'm always watching for the Sterling version to come along for sale. If anyone was thinking of getting a Ray, this would be the one that I'd be pointing to.
 6. I'd have enjoyed doing something like this but I'm in the wrong part of the country altogether!
 7. To be fair the guy hasn't logged on for days but then he has had 3 days to sort it out and put a price on... if it is reported it's the Mods decision to make.
 8.
It may be that he doesn't want to post a price and is chancing his arm hoping to get offers.
It does seem odd and it would be a way of avoiding having to follow forum rules.
 9.
because I sent him my email address after he PMd me. post you quoted came after that because I wanted to stay clear and up to date here about my selling thread,we never speak through PM after. anything else, chief inspector?
Not at the minute... but I'll get back to you if anything comes up.
 10. Oddly enough I know someone who took a Warwick Streamer Stage I and had the P+J pup routes filled and then just fitted the P in the 'wrong way around' (i.e. as per Leo)... and this guy is a bit of a Warwick fan!
 11.
Yep. Leo Fender didn't know what he was doing. I'm away to throw my Precisions in the bucket. Goodness knows why anyone would want to play one.
Hussah, sense at last.
 12. Warwick (...well Spector) get it the right way around.
 13.
Some poor bugger is going to register as XXXXX and get all sorts of grief
14.
no fire here.I don't want to explain further more. if that seems like right, then I'd love to see you (warwickhunt) in same situation. i.e.,you re selling the bass and I tell you I am buying it,just arrange personal courier to get it here, and when you complete that, I am showing and saying, ouch,I don=t actually like it now, I may pay it 3 times less, otherwise, get that bass back to England, thanx!
Take a pill mate. I've already pointed out that 'IF' what you say is true and he had a full set of images of the bass with everything disclosed, no hidden surprises and he turned up with a grand after you'd gone to that trouble then he is bang out of order. However, I don't know you, the situation OR a Vox bass from Adam so how can I or anyone else wholeheartedly castigate this other guy and pat you on the back? I'm 90% certain that as this other guy is a newbie on here then he may well have dropped you in the shyte but I'm not about to start a witchhunt based upon your view of the situation. However, had it been me I'd have done things differently.
 15. Your reply looks perfectly acceptable and plausible to me; in fact it is exactly the kind of thing that I might have sent off if I were in a position where I was unsure about the future of my current band and was looking for something else and maybe wanted to know a bit more about this band before committing. I'd say that if their response is indicative of their general demeanor then you're better off well out of it.
 16.
I should lost ownership on the bass so you would share sympathy,eh? " €3000 is a lot of cash for a bass & IMHO the guy couldn't commit to that kind of outlay without physically seeing it, no matter how good the pics are." -that goes in his defense? as I said, I am not robbed, but like clearly pointed - this guy saw bunch of photos,he presented him self as a Vox admirer,he clearly stated that he is buying the bass if I just arrange delivery. He said he is playing Vox Phantom bass for well over 35 years and he desperately wants to buy the one. He didnt said "If you deliver, I will check and think,he said - I am buying the bass,do you need a cash deposit first"etc etc... Thank You Kevin and others!!!
Hang fire mate before you start 'picking' friends and alienating others! Folks may well contribute to this thread that have seen a great many similar threads and they MAY know from experience that not everything is always clear cut. Some of us have been around the block a few times and it can pay to offer perspectives to help others. IF the guy only had £1000 in his pocket and fully intended to bat you down then that is NOT on however if he had some cash and was going to go get the rest from the bank but on seeing the bass decided that it wasn't as described then he is well within his rights to walk away... just saying.
 17.
I have a Streamer LX5
Not 'Vintage' enough for me but it really depends on what kind of deal you had in mind; I have to be straight and say that I'm 99% certain that I'd just end up selling it on BC straight away.
 18.
thanx Blunty,PM answered...cheers mate.
To be fair it looks like 'Blunty' hasn't logged in since the 04-02-13 so he may not have picked up your PM if you sent it on 05-02-13 (your post date)... just saying!
 19. ...and now can we hear from XXXX? Oh and IBTL
 20. Bargain! Me thinks the decimal point has gone in the wrong place!
 21.
havent seen one of those trace 4 x 5(?) cabs in aeons
IIRC they (imaginatively) called them 'Bright Boxes'.
 22.
is it punky meadows ?
There must be a limited number of folks will know the answer to that (without the aid of Google) and I'm one of them... NO!
 23. Interesting that the ML is neo loaded yet is only a couple of lb lighter than my similar sized/spec DB112. Folks often get hung up on the weight saving of neo... not really 'that' much difference!
 24. It might pay to mention in your title what bass you are selling!
 25. Have you checked the Warwick site/shop?
