1. I owned a pair of these (are these they?) and they are superb cabs. Weight is easily manageable for a 2x12 cab and they coped with 1000w that my Bassbase 600 had the potential to put through them, I'm assuming these are 4 ohm! I'd be hard pushed to choose between these EBS 212 and my recent Berg AE 212 as to which was the better (not best) but either are head and shoulders over some of the neo loaded cabs I have owned.
2.
I had a black Jap one which I sold to a friend. Great bass; I actually preferred it to all but one (my '91 Dolphin Pro 1) of the Warwicks I've owned. It was miles better than the '96 Pro 1 I had, and probably one of my favourite basses that I've ever owned. I occasionally try and buy it back, but without success (he loves it and gets a tremendous tone out of it, better than I ever did).
I'm in agreement with you on this. I wouldn't say it is better than all of the Warwicks that I have owned (...cos that's an awful lot of Warwicks) but I will be keeping my Pro II in preference to a lot/most other basses and oddly enough it is the cheapest Warwick that I have ever owned! As to the jazz tone question; probably not. The rear pup is so far back on the Pro II that you can't reproduce the Jazz tone but the tone it does produce is great and is just 'Pro II' tone!
3.
I had a Dolphin in Afzelia, with the set neck rather than the through neck..I think mine was the entry model but the timber had a gourgeous red tint and grain. I hadn't even heard of Afzelia till I owned this bass. IIRC the serial No was stamped in the headstock but could easily be missed. Mine came with black hardware. I really loved the range in tones but couldn't get on with a 26 fret neck...sold it to a fella in Oz through the Warwick forum. If you can find the serial No I'm sure somebody on that forum could shed a bit more light.
Pro I, SN and Pro II basses are very different animals... less frets on the Pro II.
4. I own a (black) Pro II and mine has silver hardware, so another colour option for you. The serial number is on the top/end of the headstock! I can't say I've ever seen an unfinished/natural bodied Pro II which leads me to think they are generally solid/burst colours for a reason...unattractive wood selection. Be aware that it is an absolute bugga to get some of the solid colours off Warwick basses and Nitromorse rarely shifts it.
5. You need to put this in the correct section mate otherwise you'll get a slapped wrist!
6. This being an 88 will mean a slim profile neck without a doubt; all other profiles are of no consequence... but I have a BO wenge neck Streamer from 97 that isn't as slim as the 80's models but it is a lot slimmer than some of the clubby basses I've encountered.

8.
My poor attempt at a tribute is here:
If that is your 'poor' attempt... I'd hate to see a good one!
9. You'd never confuse the tone of a Thumb with that of a P or J bass. You'd never confuse the look of a Thumb with that of a Fender derivative bass. You'd never confuse the build quality of a Thumb with that of a Fender bass. Those three aspects alone will polarise opinion and those that like them 'love' them, those that don't... generally hate them! I've owned a few NT Thumbs and never had neck dive and I think the sound suits some music superbly, do I own one now.... no. I find the small body/top horn means that the first position is just too much of a stretch 'with my strap length'. Some folks never have the same problem as me.
10. Lovely bass John (shame about the colour... just for me mind)! Oddly enough I've just made the connection that I heard (not saw as I was seated around the corner in the bar) you a month or two back in Beadnell. Cracking musicianship and harmonies, wish I'd popped my head around and said 'Hello'!
11. It's just an unbiased observation/piece of advise but if were you I'd pull it off ebay. At £1700 on ebay if someone places a single bid and wins it you'll pay a minimum of £170 fees (new min 10% fee) and if they pay via paypal it'll hit you for those fees as well (is it 5% or similar?). Not trying to haggle or knock you down, that is just a simple observation, just in case you weren't aware of the new fee structure.
12. You're comparing NT German models with BO Korean jobbies... no justification for the original silly price but this isn't one of the neck-thru basees!
13.
One brand of bass I've never owned... and now I've got Warwick GAS!! Which one would you recommend for beefy, bouncy rocky, hard-playing with a picky, hefty loudy soundy in a three-piece bandy?
Stage I Streamer!
14. Used GK 700/1001 RB combos!
15. Goes without saying I'll be in attendance. Bringing a Warwick (or two), Sterling (or two), Bolin and Lightwave... just one of each; GK 1001 RB 2x10 combo.
16. Chambered body... what's the weight?
17. Reduced to £550 including delivery to mainland UK (or discounted shipping to Europe).
18.
Oh no, is he 'crashing tonight?
I do believe he is!
19. Aha... I just sussed who the dep is with! You'll need a lie down after the first 3 songs mate and you're ear plugs better be industry strength!
20. I may need to pop around for a cuppa some time soon... I'm getting itchy fingers! Oh and how very dare you dep with a rock band, that's my patch you are treading on; stick to your Knopfler et al gigs!
21. What makes you say it is an '81 JV bass?
22. Further North and I'd have had it at the drop of a hat!
23.
My '89 Streamer Stage 1
My favourite (transition) era SSI... wenge neck but the 2 piece bridge.
24. No, in fact I used it with a Godin SA guitar (nylon string), however it is the same unit as used for bass (you can switch between guitar/bass by holding down two buttons on start up).
