  1. Proper English, like what we speak in the USA. Not that rubbish you boys glob
  2. Tony Levin doesn't play the same lines in King Crimson and as much as I love TL I understand why. But I LOVE John Wettons note choices and tone even more than Tonys.
  3. As soon as the JamMan Express was anounced I ordered two. There are better units out there (it's hard to sync - "where's One?") but they are fun, and yeah, you can put them anywhere in the path and then twiddle with your knobs. Little mini instant recorders. Even easier to loop a drum box or keys.
  4. I'm gonna Party Like It's 1999. Two thousand zero zero's OVER
  5. I just listened to about 10 seconds from every post on the last two pages. (there is too much music available) But I saw Julian Lage I hadn't seen him in awhile. When I'm in the car I have F.Z. WRMF, UM, BWS, WJ/HR, & TGW. Also two cd's Rob Zombie (itsa Z thing)
  6. Are you rehearsing with The Heaters? Are you rehearsing with The Heaters?
  7. And I also added this to oddballs. The Stick is Dual Bass Reciprocal. The poor Ibanez used to have frets and more wood till the claw hammer & drill got to it.
  8. Classic Rock in the USA is the first song on an album, that everyone knows, and can (try to) sing to, ignoring all the deep cuts that actually make a group great, and sells cars and insurance comercial time.
  9. AW, they're so cool in and of themselves. I would have to A/B them in a music store - hey you're in Texas - everything's open there, aint it? I'm in Jersey got my shots, can go anywhere - don't know if Guitar Center has both of 'em hanging.
  10. We were playing the same venue for a month opening for different acts and changed our name to suit the type of opener, and our set list. We also opened for ourselves one night, we did an improv as "Disturbed Furniture" then did our set as "Illiterate Diplomats". We were also The Butchers, Normal Spoons, Great Chefs of Europe, and PopTards. Great fun, not much for marketing.
  11. Wake me up, before I throw up. (She's great although)
  12. Tim Bogart tuned his 6-string w/ a third,(B to B), I tune my basses every which-way to suit my whims, also Joni tunings on my guitars. I play the Stick so that stays the same, althought I throw a capo on it from time-to-time, 'cause the the strings are muted on it 'cause there's too damn many...Play around, especially if you have more than one instrument, drop-D is always a hoot.
  13. We're a noisy bunch alright, I use headphones to keep my roomies from cutting my strings in my sleep...
  14. Playing with an amp, my first set-up was a Big Muff pi, Morley Wah, and a tape echo, in that order. Hours of fun, and chases cats well. I do love a chorus, BTW, currently using an antique Line6 PODX3 Live because I have a stereo situation (Stick). But I still have a Morley wah...Make their ears bleed, mate, it's the only way us bassists can get some recognition, and respect (fear).
  15. That's pretty good, considering the suits. I would never do that.
  16. Lightning Rod Man - Capt. Beefheart
  17. So to explain...that's an '80 Ibanez 8-string, frets removed w/ claw hammer, top horn cut off, holes drilled w/ power drill - plugged in and recorded (tape lost), body unstable, whole side fell off, painted blue metal-flake car aerosol paint...Still sounds like a freight train.
  18. We have this show in America that tells us what talent is...
  19. Oh, that's brash...
  20. Are you playing bass thru that thing?
