I tried a set once, when I couldn't get D'Addarios. Took 'em off as soon as I found a set of D's. To me D.M.'s feel like bailing wire. My opinion, anything OTHER than D's feel like bailing wire.

I just brought my Ironwood (pau ferro) Stick to the best guitar repair/luthier on the East Coast (USA). While discussing the hardness of the wood, he said "It's pretty."

I had PJs on my Pedulla and I changed over to blend knob. I still hated the sound of those two together. And I had P and J basses.

As soon as the JamMan Express was anounced I ordered two. There are better units out there (it's hard to sync - "where's One?") but they are fun, and yeah, you can put them anywhere in the path and then twiddle with your knobs. Little mini instant recorders. Even easier to loop a drum box or keys.

And I also added this to oddballs. The Stick is Dual Bass Reciprocal. The poor Ibanez used to have frets and more wood till the claw hammer & drill got to it.

Classic Rock in the USA is the first song on an album, that everyone knows, and can (try to) sing to, ignoring all the deep cuts that actually make a group great, and sells cars and insurance comercial time.

AW, they're so cool in and of themselves. I would have to A/B them in a music store - hey you're in Texas - everything's open there, aint it? I'm in Jersey got my shots, can go anywhere - don't know if Guitar Center has both of 'em hanging.

We were playing the same venue for a month opening for different acts and changed our name to suit the type of opener, and our set list. We also opened for ourselves one night, we did an improv as "Disturbed Furniture" then did our set as "Illiterate Diplomats". We were also The Butchers, Normal Spoons, Great Chefs of Europe, and PopTards. Great fun, not much for marketing.

Tim Bogart tuned his 6-string w/ a third,(B to B), I tune my basses every which-way to suit my whims, also Joni tunings on my guitars. I play the Stick so that stays the same, althought I throw a capo on it from time-to-time, 'cause the the strings are muted on it 'cause there's too damn many...Play around, especially if you have more than one instrument, drop-D is always a hoot.
