1. I had an original little mark (yellow), which I've been told sounds like a little mark II, and I'd say they are pretty similar, both very clean and hi-fi sounding, which is what I've found I like after all these years. Someone else might have more experience though, never heard an LMK.
2. I'm really not a fan of band photos which involve people holding their instruments! They are good quality though, don't seem to put across any genre, guitarist looks a bit of a hippy with that weird cardigan thing on, haha.
3.
TBH, what I'd really like is a little miniature switch for ON/OFF. That way the bass can be left plugged in all the time. I mean, how hard can it be? Why don't the manufacturers do this?
Because it's not a complex task to take the lead out? I do with every guitar and bass I own, whether they are active or not.
4. The bottom two there, which people said look like ACG's remind me more of schecters, I like the winning one though, pretty nice, just can't get on with Warwicks anymore despite owning about 10 of them previously.
5. Back for sale again, been messed around on this so far.
6. I've got one of them, took off the tortoise shell pickguard that someone put on it though and put the white one back on, much prefer that, thinking about a black one though.
7.
I'm trying to decide between the 64's and 84's. Do the 64's give you anything like the John Paul Jones sound, I don't want it too middley. Cheers Steve
To tell the truth, I am not great at describing bass pickup sounds etc, so can't be of much use! "Nice" is about as far as my descriptive talents go, haha.
8. I got some Wizard 64's and put them in last night, they sound pretty nice.

12. I bought some fender ones, and they were for solid shafts, I really wish I had never bought split shaft pots now!
13. I actually think they look good, I'd quite like the orange or blue one, in terms of looks anyway.
14. Keep an eye out for a used Shuker on here I would say.
15.
A bridge whose intonation can be adjusted while playing.
I don't know if it's just me, but, what? Play with one hand, and screwdriver in the other or something?
16. I've decided to not use my ACG live for now (after the last/first show with it), I find that I don't have enough time to mess around with it during soundcheck to make it sound decent, so just stick with the reliable Sandberg, in the studio though, it's very good and you can spend more time tweaking it exactly to what you want. I am not sure whether to change the ACG preamp for something more normal, or to just keep it as a studio bass. The Sandberg has just got a 2 band preamp, which I always set flat, or I can pull out the volume pot to make it passive.
17.
Thats pretty much what I figured, I only really thougt of a custom because I haven't seen a lot of production models I like, like I said I'm rather picky, ive never really found the exact combination of looks, sound and features I want, and for that kind of money compromise really isn't an option. It's not like I want it carved from the wood of the yggrdasil and the pickups handwound by blind tibetan monks using magnets salvaged from the wreck of the titanic, I just want a specific spec in a specific style, any chance of getting that for a grand?
It really depends what that spec and style is exactly! But it's unlikely for a grand, a grand isn't much for a custom bass.
18. I liked the look of that, it's very Sandberg-like.
19. Bump! Will consider offers too, no trades though, as I can't think of anything I need!
20.
Dont know if i'm right here, but but these undbranded ones look like they came out the same factory. anyone know?
Yeah, I believe they do, used to have a P bass one of them, pretty nice for the cash.
21.
ive had it called so many dif colours now! :-) its wicked whatever it is!
It is shoreline gold though, that is what the colour is actually called.
22. I've bought quite a few things from them, they are okay, but they never seem to send things on Fridays, twice I'd had that problem, expected it on a Monday as I ordered on a Friday, only for it to show up on Tuesday as they don't want it sitting with couriers, neither time have them actually told me either.
