1.
You can borrow my TD650 for the gig tomorrow if you want? You wanted to try it anyway, so is a good opportunity.
I'm not too sure if I'd be too scared that your amp would break too with me using it! Haha.
2. It's annoying, but I do sort of feel for the seller too, as maybe it was fine when he sent it and it got damaged in the post (although there were no signs on that), I had the same happen to me before, I sold an amp that was fine and the buyer said it was broke, so I refunded when I got it back (even though it worked when I got it back!) I guess I will just leave the Eden to paypal and see what happens, and just sort out getting my backup combo sorted by Korg, and in the meantime, errrrr, just get tomorrow over with and then not practice for a bit!
3. I'm really not sure what to do, should I just try to find a local tech to take the poweramp to? Or just wait to see what paypal do? No amp means no band practice, I could just get a new poweramp in the meantime, like the Samson servo 600 (anyone know if that is okay?), but I am really worried about getting new stuff now that I've had a rubbish experience (and I'm pretty skint this month!). Hoping to borrow something for a gig I have tomorrow from other bands playing it. And to make it all worse, my backup amp died the other day, so now have to rush to try to get that fixed under warranty whereas I thought I would be able to take my time (sure it'll take a while anyway), but the shop it's from have always seemed good and Korg who do the distro said they would get it picked up etc.
4. I didn't try a new fuse, as I don't have one anyway, not taking it to a tech at the moment, I have notified paypal of the issue.
5. 8ohm, according to the manual the power amp should run fine at 8ohms.
6. Got an Eden pre and power amp off ebay last week, borrowed a mates cab, and today I got a lead from obbm so finally got to try it, for the first few seconds, there was little volume, then it went up in a puff of smoke! Fuse is blown (completely black), but worryingly there is smoke like I said coming from the amp, going to try to get a new fuse, but I am not too sure it will do anything. Any idea? I guess I will make a claim on paypal to start with.
7. I don't think depping in an originals band is a thing that should be done unless really needed, for example it's with a huge band etc, just playing a club or pub somewhere is not as important as keeping all members happy.
8. They did an aerodyne in white did they not?
9.
Try the Flightcase Warehouse.
Was just about to suggest them!
10.
It's on ebay if I'm not mistaken... or at least one with an identical finish... It's in my 'watched items' :-)
If it's the one I am thinking of that has been up a while, then it's different and a lot more expensive?
11. Well, I ordered one in the end, so we shall see! It'll be used with an Eden WT1000 poweramp, which can be bridged into 8 ohms with quite a bit of power, so should be okay! Geoff, I remember borrowing yours before and liked it, so it should be good (would have waited and tried yours again if I had seen it before ordering!), if you ever sell yours let me know and I might get it so I have 2!
12. Thomann has them for £390 new, so that seems a pretty good deal.
13. I am leaning towards one of these now having had a look at what's available this morning.
14. Anyone know if these cabs are any good?
15. I need a cab again, so will accept trades for a cab, probably with cash from you depending what the cab is! 4x10 only, prefer Eden!
16. Had a few PM's and I will post if needed, just prefer collection so people can try it first etc, postage at buyers expense that is!
17. Yeah, I think it's the best finish, all the P basses I've owned before have been sunburst! Will put pictures up tonight of it all.
18. Fantastic band, Jeff Caxide played bass on the first album (from Isis as mentioned) but isn't in them now. I have Pelican on here at work (empty office), another band to check out if people are in to this. Along with Mono, Mogwai, Cult of Luna and an awesome local band who are my mates called Pet Slimmers of the Year (google it, myspace is banned here).
19. I ordered a mighty mite fretless from America on ebay, and it's never shown up! I have a Warmoth, and it's fantastic, but that is to be expected, you can pretty much pick whatever you want, but it's not cheap.
20. Looks a bit like my old Sandberg that Geoff has now.
21. Yeah, the orange and maple board was what made me get it, if it wasn't that I probably would have left it.
22. I got this not long ago, and it's sweet to play, and I really want to keep a P for the studio, but I don't see my band going in the studio soon, and I don't play anything but my Sandberg live, so could do with the money to add to my savings and don't really need this especially since the fretless neck for my warmoth seems to have got lost, so that's probably staying fretted now! It comes with it's case, I will get more photos this weekend, it's sunset orange, ash bodied, maple fretboard. Has a lacquer crack on the top of the heel for the neck (will photo), which is purely cosmetic, I think these see thru finishes can be brittle. Has some other general playing wear (minor buckle rash, minor pick marks etc). Also comes with a tortoise shell pickguard. Since I got it, I stripped it, cleaned it, put new strings on, put some schaller pegs on and replaced a couple of pickguard screws. £450 collected from Peterborough (no offers, if postage is needed buyer pays). I won't really feel too bad if this doesn't sell, like I said, I do want to keep it, but it seems a waste, no trades! Photos!
