1. At least those who don't like singlecuts seem to like Thunderbirds, which shows they have no taste anyway, and probably dress like Timmy Mallet.
2. Since that is my bass you posted there, I quite clearly like them.
3. Germany, Scotland and Korea! Sandberg, ACG and Conklin GT.
4. Seem's to be working at the moment, it's quite different to the others. Might take you up on that offer one day deksawyer!
5. Not sure of the age, got it from someone on here, but don't remember who, I guess the warranty is only a year as well? Don't think I will get a replacement one from him as it's twice as much as a normal Eminence, and I don't really want to spend anymore money on bass equipment at the moment.
6. Still does it with no grill on at all.
7. It is frustrating! Anyone wanna buy an EBS cab with an annoying buzz? Haha.
8. Cheers, it's just via a sansamp, DI'ed my amp too, but the sansamp sounded best.
9. Hear me out, forgot to post that, good point, haha.
10. I used it on the track in the studio in the end, you can hear it HERE
11. Just got back from the studio, we have a new track up called Hear me out, at: - Stringfinger on Myspace
12. Seems fine on a strap, not heavy either really, but my sandberg isn't the most lightweight bass, so probably used to it.
13. Yeah, it plays well, just got to get used to it, it's pretty different to the Sandberg, big gap between the strings and body for example at the end of the neck, so popping is a bit weird at the moment, lowered the pickups a bit as they were a bit close to the strings for my liking. Going to the studio in a few hours, will take it along, and might lay down the guide tracks with it and then try it for the proper recording tomorrow along with the sandberg and pick which one to use. The preamp is going to be hard to get my head around 100%, lots of stuff to do with it, and I usually just have everything on full on basses, haha, and blend in the middle, so this will be interesting, will probably find a sound, and then stick with it! I know what it all does now though (never did when using one before). Much prefer this finish over the lacquered ones though, I've seen/played 4 ACG's now including this (the others were all 5 strings though). Got to try it on a strap actually too! Need to go dig one out for it.
14. No digital camera I am afraid, but these are Alan's pictures...
15. It's here now, pretty cool, just need to figure out the preamp, haha.
16. Sat at home waiting for delivery of this now! It's been a boring day so far, haha.
17. Tried foam behind that speaker, no luck, really no idea now, last thing to try is a new speaker I guess!
18.
Two things you might try: 1) find some thin foam as extra packing between speaker and cab, I had an Ashdown cab that buzzed annoyingly and like you I couldn't find anything loose, finally I added some thin strips on top of the foam already there and it disappeared. 2) I had an EBS 1x12 that made some curious noises which I finally traced to the jack socket - I was plugged into the speakon connector and as the back plate wasn't in a sealed box, it allowed air to pass out of it - I plugged a jack in to seal the hole and the sound disappeared.
Might steal some mouse mats to steal the foam from and try that on the speaker. I don't think it's air from the jack, I had that from a zoot before though, tried blocking those with fingers and it didn't stop.
19.
Have you tried the back plate that holds the speakon and jack sockets and the tweeter control? Maybe a little loose.
Yeah, tried that, no luck, everything seems tight!
20. I've tried that, cannot find anything.
21. I cannot find what is making the noise, and its really pissing me off now! Don't think it is the speaker, with the speaker out of the cab but still connected, it all sounds fine, I cannot find anything around there loose at all though.
22. I still think that Lazarus bass is such a gay name, haha, but yeah, that was my original one.
23. I got it from a bloke on here last year I think it was. I've had the speaker out a few times and couldn't see anything wrong with it.
