4.
Slightly late to the party, but here's my Lakie HB. True hollow, no center block.
Wow! What a strange looking 'hollowbody'. It's lovely but not loud enough (ie yellow)
5. Don't forget ,when taking group photos the singer always wears something different to the rest
6. You could copy The Darkness They ripped off the '80s look. The fashion these days, more than ever seems to be tattoos. Maybe you could copy Nikki Sixx or something

8.
Mac software for V-amp... http://www.wabbitwanch.com/iVAMP.html I have the V-Amp pro and have used a M-Audio Midi/USB adapter to connect it to my Mac. I also used the software on the website to program my FCB1010 midi foot controller. Incidentally, I'm selling the V-amp now to fund a new amp if anyone is interested.... 11. I think everyone and their dog(or cat) would tell you to take it to a repair person. I don't know where you are based. Have you tried a google search of somewhere not too far away? (ie trainride 1 saturday or something) One thing that is a common problem for all steiney's is the tuning system . I know it may seem crazy, but have you checked the condition of all of the saddles etc?
12. Saw them at the Hammy Odeon on their 1st Mr.Big tour. The atmospheree was flatter than kate moss's chest. Billy's solo was very muddy .. I won't be rushing for this . I do like ''Green Tinted ' also..
13. maybe if you had a word with a guitar /amp repair person they could help. Alternatively, you could change them &have your own custom pedal
14.
Saw that via athread on FDP; it's a Dennis Galuszka Masterbuilt. And not my cup of tea at all. Too 'Gibson' for me.
Too Gibson for me too
15.
Have you seen this custom shop Tele bass: The sale thread was here.
Looks a bit like an overwater now. Not too keen on the neck. I would've had it refinished in yellow-or lairy green
16.
Don't shout matey I've got a wicked head ache tonight. I can recommend Giants of Bass by Stuart Clayton. Bit of theory and technique, written in a very easy to understand style. The rest of the book covering the styles, techniques and kit used by the the "giants". Also a couple of CD's to play along with. Not one of the cheapies at £19.99, but I think it's good value. Cheers, Gary.
17. I believe in the early days Mr.Z used to use a Boss ME8-B effects unit. Loads of bells, whistles, puppies etc.
18. Well, my new Aguilar cab has no tweeter on it. It's the only one I've ever played without one. I'm waiting for my next band situation to find out for sure if I've done the rght thing or not. Just waiting to see what happens when I put my Humbucking Telecaster through it
19. Back to when I was almost 16 ,mummy got me a black Les Paul copy Gu****! from a catalogue. I was worse than useless on that. After a few weeks a good friend of mine said,"you've got big hands and a bass has only got 4 strings -why not try that?" Sooo, got mummy to send it back for a copy of a fender precision (Hondo11) or Hondo 2) 1st thing I noticed is that it never had a plectrum supplied with it. Anyway, despite it being built like a large tree with corrosive metal it became the 1st bass I used before my 1st proper bass.
20. I got the audiobook, but wish I got the book instead. It's very good, but he sounds a little too 'wooden '. Love the show he does on Sat mornings on Planet Rock
21. Howdy &welcome! Now that you're a newbie (as we all were) you will find this site friendly and accomodating, altho' it's frowned upon if you use this site only to sell stuff. I would suggest you take pics of the basses in question, and go to the for sale section. You can then put out a 'feeler'. Judging by what you're selling, someone on here is sure to snap it up. Good luck with the sale
22. one of the best things to take for your joints is(no,not that )glucosamine sulphate. 1 capsule daily keeps everything ticking over. It's when you get to late 30's onwards that you learn about all this kind of stuff
