1. I always know where I want my winning items to arrive.(Home/Work) I deleted my old work address 2+ yrs ago. I asked for my latest item to be posted to my present work address. Paypal got it right. Ebay had it sent to old one, despite my instruction confirmed clearly! The seller had package redirected by courier co. Good of them both to do so. Sent them complaint via the 20,00 options bar the obvious.....
 2.
Thanks - a loverly Steiny and indeed a XM3 - very rare. Keep us posted when you extend your collection!
Will do
 3.
Everything well then? OT: show us your PJ'd Steinberger - should be a XM4 - recently played a custom Q with PJ's - the ultimate P-sound!!! and who is CH Guitars?
Hi janspeeltbas CH Guitars is a business my friend started up . He's a geordie based ..in Newcastle! He sells loads of parts for guitars on the bay . He used to import guitars from China (now Korea..better quality) Very good replicas . Regarding the Steiney ,I think mine's called xm3 custom (due to pickups) Don't think Steinberger know much about their own products to be honest Glad you like them . I'm after a trans-trem .. Also one of their earlier models in Yellow (have seen one on their site) and a white one. Cheers
 4. Update: Seller contacted me ,and sent item via courier (nep?) They tried today allegedly to deliver. (very quick). I sent seller My mobile no. We spoke, he seems like a great guy. I should receive tomorrow. I let it go ,initially because I won bid on a saturday . (Thought it best to chill out and let seller enjoy his weekend) I would've sent him message tonight , but there was no need . As one of you guys pointed out: I thought it unusual not to get email from either ebay/paypal . I'll let you know full outcome tomorrow. Cheers
 5.
AGREED!!!!
+1
 6. Howdy! Much as I loathe the above these days, I got a bargain IMHO and I was automatically taken to Paypal's website and parted with dosh. Previously,if the buyer or seller were successful in a transaction they would get confirmation emails.I received nothing. I won the bid as a 'Buy it now' on Saturday .Is this their new idea I wonder? I know it's only 2 days ago. Do you think I should wait another day, or 'contact seller'? Any ideas Cheers
 7. Lawnmower death anyone??
 8. Sort your garden out this summer. Bank holiday approaching. Complete with new blades. Collection from Twickenham only.

 10.
I saw Primus a couple of times when they still had Herb on the drums, some of the stuff Les does is just laughably impossible. He's got the coolest feel, funky and nerdy in equal measure. Great player.
+1
 11. I didn't think there was a level to slapping. It's a nice skill if you can do it. I'd just carry on slapping. You'll probably have a feeling ,when you get to the level of Jordan etc.
 12.
if your doing because you enjoy it then just make a massive swing band or something ie guitars, bass, singers, drums, perc, brass, woodwind, keys everything and just jam at charity events or church fayes sounds a little wacky but hey
Not really my thing, but thanks for suggestion. At the moment ,I'm contemplating taking up the Triangle
 13.
It's harder to play to a man and his dog than to play to a full pub.
So...true
 14.
You have to find your niche. I think the Grey Horse is a great music pub, putting on all kinds of music and Stand Up, but the locals will usually only turn out for the bluesier bands and the ones they know. Go down there this afternoon and the front bar will be packed for Steve Whalley and then Blues Patrol. If you are "Indie/Rock" you'll have to bring your own crowd, but isn't that the same everywhere? 50 year olds with no mates will always start at a disadvantage!!
yep ,all true
 15.
don't be soft, Just play!
16. Thanks for input guys. There are 1 or 2 other things I gotta mention: I'm still in my 40's Also I decided at my age etc. covers is the best option for me. I have played in front of alot ,and 1 man and his dog. If that was my band playing last night ,I would've wanted to be on first I suppose we all get abit fed up when ,you have to do a demo cd/keep pestering landlords-ladies/ and then you still can't get regular gigs etc. I even bought a new effects unit yesterday ,in the hope of making the cover songs we do more fun. The depression yesterday, was on a par with an omnibus of Eastenders.. Keep the input coming
 17. Went to see the drummers 'original pro' band last night at the Grey Horse in Kingston. They were the headlining band out of 3 and came on last. There never seems to be many people at that venue when I've either gigged or watched a band there. Last night was the equivalent of a Millwall home game. Hardly anyone there.(sorry) The 'crowd' were made up mainly of college people suppoorting mainly the 2nd band on the bill. Once they finished their set ,the headlining band in their '50s played to basically one man and his dog. Going home, Mr. Drums and myself were wondering if it's worth carrying on.(He has 3 bands and finds it difficult/nigh impossible to get gigs) It's always the same, people you expect to make an effort don't etc. I know I'm not the first to post this kind of topic on here. Maybe it's best to quit now, and just mess around at home. It seems that how much we put into it ,nobody's there to see it . What do you think?.......
 18. Cheers guys . I was thinking about getting a headless 5 string . I suppose it's the frustration of playing in a tiny practice room with the band, and learning different tunings(tho' only couple of songs). The string spacing is fine , so it looks like I should persist with it.
 19.
This is spooky. I had a very basic left handed fretless made by Andy's about 28 years ago, and it looked just like that before the marks. Paid £300 for it IIRC. Used it for a couple of tours, album recording then sold on a couple of years later.
Wow! I've known this man(his name is Andy by the way) for about25/6 years. I think he definately got it mid'80s anyhow. I wonder........
 20.
Scary stuff. Glad you're okay. S.P.
+1
 21. Howdy! I'm in a bit of a quandry on what bass to play with the band at the mo'. I was happily swapping my Washburn and Steinberger over on different practices and am very comfortable with headless bass. However, now and again the guitarist will play a song or 2 on low D . I've had this lovely Schecter, and have been managing keeping up so to speak. I found that on my last practice, I was looking down at the neck more and was not moving around as freely as I normally do. Les Dawson was becoming more of an influence. The Schecter is similar in colour to my Washburn status. (Too similar really) The strap Im using isnt fully adjustable like the dimarzio one I have on my Washburn, with the click lock at the base. I'm wondering if I should persist with this, or go for something like a Status . If there was a Steiney with a trans trem then I would be after that like a shot. The practice rooms are very small ,and I'm wondering if that too is a factor. What do you think?
 22. Awesome sounding amp . Only selling because I got something smaller,as I don't drive. Slight hum when turned on ,but once you're playing no problems at all. Great condition. Can show in action with band in Acton if you want, to see/hear for your self. £350.00 ono. I'm Twickenham based ,so collection only from Twickenham/Acton Cheers Ray
 23. Howdy! I've just won bid for Boss ME50-B which on paper ,seems alot simpler to use . This amp is in tip top condition. No scratches, bumps or marks.Comes with instruction books. I also purchased a rack bag for it . The zip on the pocket works, but the tag has come off. It does the job nicely, and again is in tip top condition. I haven't been using it much at all ,and with the arrival of the Boss probably never. Trouble is, although I look after all of my stuff , I do wonder if it's worth hanging on to. I don't want to post this ,but can meet up in central London if you've persuaded me to sell. Price? Make an offer and well take it from there. Cheers
