1. I feel ripped off! The cat is missing from my one. I can't go to Turnkey and dispute this as they have now ceased trading. Have a bump anyhow
2. Well , I have an Eden Nemesis NC-250 250watt Combo for sale . Looking for around £300.00 .
3. Aaargh! I just used my new Aggie in Boss Tweed on Tuesday. I haven't got a cover for it either, altho' the Bassmerchant will be calling me soon. If this was the same colour as mine,I would have pm'd you. Have a bump anyway
4. Not sure if this is the right place to post this .. Bass /Drums/guitar require vocalist Male or Female and lead guitar to complete the above . We are 40 ish and are based in Twickenham and Hayes. We are currently rehearsing at Survival Studios in Acton West London. We could play kings of leon/muse/bad company one minute and play teenage dirtbag/video killed the radio star the next. We are dedicated and ego free and play with a smile. And of course ,we wanna get back out there ! Please pm if interested.
5. I used my new setup for my first get together with drummer &new guitarist on tuesday. I use Aguilar AG500 plus DB112 (NO TWEETER) The bass I was using was my Steiney xm2 custom version with split pick ups(not 2x humbuckers). It sounded very growly . No effects or anything. I did't realise it till next day but, all knobs were dead centre with gain turned 3 quarters up. Master was only turned up a little bit. I played a gig about 2 or 3 years ago in front of a deaf dog,( Fred)and he did growl ....
6.
the whole bass looks cheap, and chances are they are gunna translate to £400 over here, £300 of which your paying for flea's signature. It will sell very well no doubt, but it will not be a £400 bass
Yeah,that sounds about right
7. Don't mind the green body. I notice that the body isn't made of basswood so should sound pretty decent. (I could be wrong about basswoodBTW as this seems to be on cheaper basses-correct me if I'm wrong ) I don't like the look of the neck or hardware tho' which imho does look cheap.
8. You could get a Telecaster bass, put a whammy bar on it , play through a trace elliot stack with lots of distortion of course
9. Well, you could get rid of one of your guitars......then buy a nice f**** off bass
10. Just saw the yellow cabbie bass 4sale on the bay. 'BUY IT NOW £250.00' then of course the postage. I bid £175.00 It has been sold. Oh, well.... Still, I'm sure another will come along. Trouble is ,I think I've got my priorities right: I have enough basses at the moment anyhow.
11. Maybe you could go for a customised bass of your choice.(budget permitting) Status have a site where you can put your requirements into a 'bass' You then consider the woods ,neck, finish etc. Prices start from below a grand
12. They haven't done anything for 3+ years, altho' they're supposed to be releasing a new album in the autumn. They don't get much press coverage over here. Saw them at London Brixton Academy last time. The smell of parrafin, and heat were memorable.(I was in the balcony) Plus of course......THE FIRE!! When they do come here again it will be sold out in minutes. Hope the band goes well

15. Thanks guys. I suppose the question to ask is'should I go for Aguilar cover same as cabinet'(which is pricey) or do I go with another option?' I do like that trolley tho' & will probably get that at some stage . unless you have any more suggestions....
16. If I never got the Aguilar cab/head I would have gone for this ....or the walkabout
17. Well. I did call the Bass merchant today. They took my phone no. as none were in stock.2weeks approx. I was quoted£69.00 Still no details were exchanged so if anybody here may have something better...
18.
I have Roqsolid covers for my MB combo & Epifani cab, but not really what you seem to be looking for. That said look HERE for your Aggi cover, which together with one of THESE might sort of match what you are after.
Thanks for that.
19. Love early Tangerine Dream,Jean Michel Jarre. Loads of synth.......
20. A few things I have to mention : There are always songs that you'll like from each form of music. For example I hate 90% rap/soul/disco but there are still songs I like from each. Same with country/western. I had tkts to see Johnny Cash back in the late '80s.-It was cancelled due to ''ill health''. He then recovers and only died a few years ago. In those days I was a typical headbanger I also remember walking past my usual tkt agency(I used to go to lots of gigs in those days) The board said ''Garth Brookes ,only a few remaining etc. Hackney empire'' I never heard of him and thought that Garth Crooks was doing something about football and wondered what all the fuss was about I did see a live show on tv of his and it was ok. Iused to love the stuff on radio one in the mornings: I minute you've got 'Black night' by Deep Purple. The next it's 9 stone cowboy by Glenn Campbell I bought 'let your love flow' and thought it was great. Then I went Metal..
21. This thread is getting longer. Don't know if anyone's suggested this successful bands look......
22.
I dealt with a guy called Napper down there, I'm not sure if he's still around, but I'm sure he'll be able to talk you through your options if you got on the blower/dropped him an email! They didn't have some Warwick parts listed on their website that I wanted, but he was happy to order them in for me.
Thanks again. Yeah , sometimes a lot of people are too busy to upgrade the website all the time. I'll give 'em a call tomorrow. It'll be interesting to see if anyone else on here have any ideas also
23. Thanks Dan,that's where I got the cab They are great people. Nothing on their website tho'
