1. Oh my God! I used to work along there. Nearly played my first gig there many years ago. It was gonna be a gig for my birthday. Alas, got a letter 2 weeks before telling me the place was flooded. Luckily ,I got to play somewhere in the end. Can't make it I'm afraid ,but I'll bump it up so someone will see it!
 2. Howdy! Hope that you can help with the above . I'll probably be doing my 1st practice with new look band within the next 2 or 3 weeks. I was thinking of something like this http://www.8thstreet.com/product.asp?Categ...oductCode=10281
All advice is appreciated. Cheers
 3. You have a nice budget . If I were you I would go to a shop where there are lots of brands(ie schecter/warwick/fender status etc plus brands you mentioned) It's advisable to bring a friend who knows about bass guitar set ups etc. so that what you will be getting will be in excellent working condition&flawless. Try out something that catches the eye.(There could be many) Don't forget ,if you haven't got a decent bass amp allow for that as well. You may get a top notch bass of your dreams and have more than a little change.
 4.
Hey guys thanks for your replies! Going to use these points on our next band meeting and do a little brain storming. Did any band ever used prison uniform? (you know black and white strips, boots... ) I could even have one of these big old round weights around my leg, good excuse not having to jump around!
That's been done. I remember Henry Rollins doin' it on the Jools Holland show few years back

 10.
Slightly late to the party, but here's my Lakie HB. True hollow, no center block.
Wow! What a strange looking 'hollowbody'. It's lovely but not loud enough (ie yellow)
 11. Don't forget ,when taking group photos the singer always wears something different to the rest
 12. You could copy The Darkness They ripped off the '80s look. The fashion these days, more than ever seems to be tattoos. Maybe you could copy Nikki Sixx or something

 14.
Mac software for V-amp... http://www.wabbitwanch.com/iVAMP.html I have the V-Amp pro and have used a M-Audio Midi/USB adapter to connect it to my Mac. I also used the software on the website to program my FCB1010 midi foot controller. Incidentally, I'm selling the V-amp now to fund a new amp if anyone is interested.... 17. I think everyone and their dog(or cat) would tell you to take it to a repair person. I don't know where you are based. Have you tried a google search of somewhere not too far away? (ie trainride 1 saturday or something) One thing that is a common problem for all steiney's is the tuning system . I know it may seem crazy, but have you checked the condition of all of the saddles etc?
 18. Saw them at the Hammy Odeon on their 1st Mr.Big tour. The atmospheree was flatter than kate moss's chest. Billy's solo was very muddy .. I won't be rushing for this . I do like ''Green Tinted ' also..
 19. maybe if you had a word with a guitar /amp repair person they could help. Alternatively, you could change them &have your own custom pedal
 20.
Saw that via athread on FDP; it's a Dennis Galuszka Masterbuilt. And not my cup of tea at all. Too 'Gibson' for me.
Too Gibson for me too
 21.
Have you seen this custom shop Tele bass: The sale thread was here.
Looks a bit like an overwater now. Not too keen on the neck. I would've had it refinished in yellow-or lairy green
