I only saw Sabbath twice . ( Dio 1980 hammy odeon / Ozzy Hyde park 2014) Up in the balcony for the Hammy O gig and hated it . Prefer Dio solo and saw him quite a few times over the years. Saw Ozzy solo a few times over the years also . So having said that , when I saw sabbath at Hyde Park I think Geezer was the driving force on the night . Sabbath played a blinder, but being not too far from the band , Geexer was phenomenal . I was listening to all my brothers sabs albums in the '70s and eventually I now have all the Ozzy era sabs studio albums . Dio era sabs not for me , although the neon nights singke is immediately punchy . Trouble with Dio, he was not a proper producer and he ruined some of his albums . Live Evil I did have , but moved it on . Preferred speak of the devil . I don't play that now. The production of some of the early sabbath albums was poor imho. Myself and a few friends were asking whether Bill ward was playing on buckets on master of reality . My fave is vol 4 . As for what is Geezers best baseline ..too many to choose from . fwiw, I never gave sabbath much consideration , when it became Tony and friends . I may have to have a listen to the stuff I've missed. many killer geezer bass lines probably 🙂

( Actually , he was a more unenthusiastic version ) . I never heard it , until I had to learn it on a cassette tape. One boring monotonous drone really . " who's the other guy singing ? Sounds like he has a cold?" " That's iggy pop " I was informed .

Regarding Ilok , I purchased the moogerfooger plugins from a third party website . All good , until I had issues with Ilok. However , I got lucky as out of the blue Moog sent an email to a link that means I don't have to use Ilok anymore . Hurrah! I don't think my 2017 iMac will go as far as Sonoma , so in theory I shouldn't have much to worry about in the ltd software stuff I have . That said , there is another update tonight apparently on Ventura . I've just restarted the iMac now . Crapple seem to be doing updates almost weekly now , on my iPhone and iPad . They are like bored hyperactive children with no boundaries. The hassle that the updates were causing me , were mainly Reason who were slow to catch up . Hopefully , this update won't upset it again ..

( sorry can't do you tube clips ) Regarding Northern Exposure ; it's one of those series that I missed the start , and watched infrequently on channel 4 back in the day I was thinking of getting the dvd . Does it hold up now ? It's been quite a while since it aired . Yes, the theme tune is brilliant .

Regarding jukeboxes in pubs : myself and a few friends used to play a game for our amusement . We gave ourselves the task of finding what we thought was the worst song in the jukebox , and put in some coins and play it . "Sally " by Gracie Fields was the winner . The start of that song brings manic depression beating the like of morrissey ,and joy Division. Of course we never stuck around , after it came on . We just went to another pub 😬 As for Springsteen , can't stand his music but am impressed that he does/ did 3 hr sets for the fans . My ex boss idolised him . I just called it Budweiser music , which annoyed him . 🙂 I did play dancing in the park in a blues covers band , and surprisingly didn't mind it .

Not sure if this should be in the effects section 🤔 Anyway , I have the Waldorf Streichfett and the Waldorf Rocket . I'm not sure if I really need the 2 Pole . The main reason I think about the 2 Pole, is that you can plug a guitar or bass into it . Probably with an expression pedal . It has been discontinued yonks ago . The downside to this unit unlike the others , is that there is no midi or usb socket . Would like to hear your thoughts if you have one , or used one . 🙂

In the old days of Basschat , there were a few rude comments made about peoples gear that was being sold . Thankfully the mods sorted that out , and Basschat is a good place to sell stuff . I do feel for you, but times are very tough due to cost of living etc and I hope things improve for you . Have you tried eBay ? I think that if you started out at a lower price say £77 for example , and see what gives . Regarding farcebook , hardly used it so ditched it . It was on Basschat many moons ago, that I heard about the negative issues about selling on it so I never listed anything . Ignore the negative comments , and don't take them to heart. The " people" on there don't know you , and they probably have posted similar comments on other peoples posts just to amuse theirselves . Glwts

Sorry to hear this . How annoying ! Quality control seems to be lacking these days . I have a moog grandmother , my first synth purchased a few months after its release . About 18 months ago, the pitch wheel became loose and ineffective . My local and close friend who has quite a few old synths from the '80s fixed it for me . Moog were very helpful in telling me how to repair it . Then a couple of weeks ago, I noticed the input washer at the back fell off ! Thankfully I found it , as it never left my flat. It was made of plastic , not metal of course . When moog released the 'dark' version of the Grandmother, the pitch wheel looked different . I saw it up close in Absolute Music . I'd say they had a lot of issues with that . One other thing I find annoying , is the very very tiny usb sockets on some keyboards and effects pedals like the Arturia Keystep etc. Plus those awful power supplies like on the moog Grandmother . Anyway , I hope things get sorted , and that you do continue your synth journey . Third time lucky and all that .
