  1. Any ABY pedal will do the job. I picked a Fender ABY up on eBay for £20 that works a treat. Ignore the link. That's only a AB pedal. But I can't delete the link now I've added it.
  2. All of them. (Except the recorder. I can absolutely nail "Little Donkey" on the recorder)
  3. I don't have an ad blocker. I use the mobile site on my phone and I've never seen an advert.
  4. 2 months? I'll give it until Friday before I eat the dog.
  5. That reminds me of another one for the list. Single pickup basses. They just don't look right.
  6. The Ibanez SDGR head stock logo is beyond tacky. They make some cracking basses, but I just couldn't live with that logo.
  7. I can't stand Fender P / J bass, Stratocaster shaped headstocks, and the big elephant ear tuners are ugly as sin. In fact I've never got the whole P bass thing. Bland with a side order of ugly.
  8. It would be nice to get use out of it, but with the current situation who knows when the next practice will be, let along gig or party.
  9. I suppose that's down to the individual. I had a few one to one lessons a few years ago and absolutely hated it. For me it was a total waste of time and money. It just felt really awkward and I really didn't take anything in. I personally learn much better from online tutorials where I can rewind and restart the video as many times as I want, and learn at my own pace, in my own time, without feeling like in being watched or examined. I highly rate Mark from Talking Bass. For me his lessons are the perfect balance between pushing you along, and breaking things down into bite sized chunks. Plus they're excellent value for money. I'm not taking anything away from one to one lessons or tutors, but everyone learns differently.
  10. Then you need new glasses, not less basses.
  11. No way he's leaving the house with that haircut. 😂
  12. Why not just buy the fretless version. 😕
  13. Same here. Also I always use acoustic guitar for writing and working out songs. Partly because I find playing bass and singing simultaneously pretty much impossible. 😂
  14. I've kind of gone in the opposite direction. All GAS has now been well and truly extinguished. It all seems so utterly trite and pointless given the current situation. I'm more worried about getting through the coming weeks and months with my family and friends in tact. Anything other than that at the minute just seems a bit ridiculous to me.
  15. Just signed up. Looking forward to having a look at what's on offer in the coming days and weeks. Thanks Zoltan, you are a true gent.
  16. I had the six string version. Unbelievably good build quality for the price, and it actually sounded pretty nice. The strings were pretty much trash, so budget for a new set. I ended up sending mine back because it came with a straight one piece bridge, rather than the separate bridge pieces it's advertised with, which meant I couldn't get the low B back far enough in the cradle to intonate it properly. Other than that I'd happily have kept it. It played like a dream. I'd highly recommend them for the money, in fact they'd still be good value at twice the price, providing they come with the correct hardware fitted.
  17. Most importantly. Put the price in the listing title. If it's out of my price range, There's a no point even looking.
  18. I'm also a big fan of Mark at Talkingbass. Brilliant, easy to understand, straight forward, no messing about. None of the waffle and filler that a certain other online bass teacher specialises in. I'm currently doing the basic fundamentals course and highly recommend it for anyone need to learning basic music theory. I also have the advanced chord tones course purchased and ready to go.
  19. Elixrs all day long. Not as bright straight out of the packet, but consistent sounding for the life of the strings, which is about ten thousand years.
  20. Better make sure to get the machine heads nice and wonky then.
