Gretsch Junior Jet 2. Absolutely trounces anything else in the price range. It's a perfectly giggable bass with unbelievable build quality, looks great and sounds absolutely superb!
I've had this exact same thing. I don't get it. Surely it's easier to just bring the bloody parcel to the door that it is to faff about writing a card.
Why?!
I'm afraid I just don't get it, and I never will. Why anyone wound pay a grand extra for a f#cked up looking bass is absolutely beyond my comprehension.
I'd rather save a grand and f#ck it up myself through years of hard work and gigging. Maybe then I could sell it for a grand more than I paid for it?
I'm thinking of quitting my current band.
It's getting more and more obvious by the day that the singer hates me.
Mind you it's my own fault. I probably shouldn't have married her.
Natural wood every time for me given the option. But it's kind of like cars, where unless it's something especially horrid, then colour is pretty low on the list of priorities. Price / quality / condition rate much higher than colour.
You can get vinyl banners made up with your own designs / artwork at vista print. You just do it all online. It's dead easy.
I always found them quite reasonable.

I can't really see how there's any way around sanding. Even if you miraculously and invisibly removed the ink, you would still have the scratches left by the biro. Any attempt at removing the ink with thinners etc would just risk a blotting effect and the ink soaking further into the wood.
