1. Close the thread, start a new one from fresh with the new info, this thread has gone from a for sale ad to a debate.
2.
My wife's an old muntr. I could only use her to model restorative remedies I'd imagine. Well, me too, but that's a fact of life when death is racing towards you and, apparently, accelerating. Still, I'm glad most are enjoying the shots. From PM's, I can tell you that the PC dragoons are somewhat less appreciative.
I had a feeling one or two would voice their concerns at some point Nice bass looks very smart, have a bump on me
3. Were the body and neck actually made in the USA from American wood or just sold to you buy a shop in the USA?
4.
Hi. I am a drummer who has just acquired some quality basses, sadly due to a bereavement. They are : 1)Wal fretless MK3 £2000 2)Wal Custom fretted Mk1 £1800 3)Two Jaydee GA24 series £2000 4)Hohner "The Jack". £offers 5)Jimmy Egypt fretless £offers I think there is also an Ibanez fretless and a Tokai Jazz (1980's). Thanks.
Hi there, sorry you've acquired these under such sad circumstances. Some really nice top spec stuff you have there.
5. Good deal, wont be here for long.
6. That is a smart looking bass, colour is lovely and the grain comes through nicely. Good luck with the sale.
7. I love these basses. I hope to own my own one day, but right now my wallet says no
8.
Possibly, although the lighter weight of the RW is tempting (well Ive heard they are mainly lighter overall).
Well I must say I prefer the look of the RW (fiesta red one) so I'd go for one of those.
9.
Hi Can anyone recommend a nice Jazz bass that nails the 60s tone, is available with a rosewood board, and isnt over £1k? I dont mind if its passive or active, but Id prefer passive. I have been tempted by Lakland Jazzes, but Im not going to pursue that avenue after a few problems I had. It caused too much hassle last time, so something else? Sadowsky basses dont do it tone wise for me. One option is the Roadworn Jazz Bass (Fiesta Red). Not only does it look great, but I tested one and it sounded pretty damn good as well. Are they overpriced? I know I can get one under £800, but is that still too much? The other option is Sandberg, but Im not sure if they sound a little too modern for what Im after. Im open to ideas though. 4 or 5 string, dont mind.
Fender 60's reissue jazz bass? Or any bass that you put fender custom shop 60's jazz bass pickups in.
10. I liked it and I think he gets away with the busy bass line because its Jamiroquai.
11. Really unjustifiably expensive coffee table looking basses that cost an arm and a leg to have made.
12. I don't think there is anything wrong with a bit of improv on the bass if used appropriately. I quite enjoy the jam sessions at chilli peppers gigs and I've seen one or two jam bands in a live setting that were also good. In the right context I think improv can be quite inspiring, going nuts in the middle of a song however is a different story. I wonder how many of the famous bass riffs people know and love are the result of improv? As I say I like it in the appropriate context but I wouldn't stifle my bass playing by being opposed to it.
13. Best looking jazz bass ever and if you disagree you are wrong

Tune TWB43
Ive done a search and turned up a couple of threads on this bass Im needing to get something to get back into playing and keep going back to this page http://www.basscentre.com/bass-guitars-amp...ac-bubinga.html At that price is it a good bass to buy? is the quality any good?
I often hear good things about tune basses, I can't vouch for a particular model because I've not had first hand experience with any, but the write up's I've seen all seem to praise them. They look pretty boutique as well so I think you could do a lot worse than one of these, I'd have one over a similar priced Ibby or Mexican fender I reckon.
15. I've reported it. I know first hand what its like to receive a bass that's not as it was described. I hope it doesn't end up going to some disappointed kid who's spent all his money on it
16. Way out of my price range but have to say that is one good looking bass
17. Hello good folks, I'm soon to be heading on over to Canada and the USA for about 5 or 6 weeks, I want to bring back with me a Peavey G bass if I can find one (these are becoming harder to find) so if any bass chatter here lives in the states or Canada and knows of a place where they are selling one could you let me know? cheers! Kev
18. Hmmmm, a neck thru custom shop thumb for 650? does anyone else not think that's a little too good to be true? I wonder if there is an issue with it or something. Perhaps I'm just being a little too cynical

20.
BuMp. ibanez still for sale anyone, It is a bit pricy i know, but i need it to be able to buy the ken smith burner 5 that i want to get.
I'm well aware its your bass and as such you have every right to put it up for sale with any price tag you want, but on website where pretty much everyone here is bass savvy I don't think you're going to sell a second hand btb for more than it costs to buy new with warranty. But either way best of luck with your sale and hope you get your burner you want.

22. Hello good folks of basschat, this is the first time ive wandered into the double bass section as I have never so much as touched a double bass in my life, time for that to change. Now these are expensive instruments I know, but I cant really afford to throw much money at one, Ive found a 3/4 for sale at 380 quid, probbably made in a cheap factory in china no doubt but its all I can afford right now so Im going to have make do but to be honest I wouldnt know what faults to look for in a double bass, so any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks Pictures of the bass here http://www.biggerbids.com/auction-image-ga...mage_id=588279#
