2.
does that mean it's got a nice neck and not the tree trunks Warwick's normally have?
yeah generally these have a slimmer profile

4. I really like it
5. Whats the action set to? If its set too low you can lose clarity on the notes, try raising the action a bit and try again.
6. I bet the seller is REALLY reluctant to let it go at this price

10. is that olp neck the one i sold you?
11. Not often you see warrior basses on this forum, Ive only ever heard good things about them too
12.
Sorry no photos right now i'll get them up asap though. theres not a mark on it though (thats not meant to be anyway)
Yeah you need to put up photos if you want to sell a bass of this calibre because no doubt it aint gonna be cheap eh! and also for the benefit for those of us who just want to sit and drool over the pictures of it Plenty of Fender heads on this forum who Im sure cant wait to see the photos!
13. erm, well, not his new line of flea basses, nor his modulus, not one ive seen before anyways, but sure enough, headstock reads...flea bass....... 14. I think I might get a full size one if they're cheap, black, and Im going to spray the white plate black, would look pretty nifty I think, just hope they're relatively cheap
15. A 10 minute youtube vid of MarloweDK not playing but instead talking about his equiptment http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZQUkLwwoB0
16. Highly reccommend them, Ive used them to customise and set up many a bass of mine and its always a quality job with excellent customer service, John is a really nice guy and because they are actually guitar and bass luthiers they really know their stuff.
17. Sell your thumb, buy a battered old fender precision, best bass sound I ever heard live was Raging Speedhorn and the bass player was using a well used vintage fender P and the bass sound was so dominant and thick it just cut through everything and it really gave the sound some serious balls, you'll probbably lose some of the growly mids you're getting from your thumb but it'd thicken out your sound with plenty of low end woof.
18. I like most of their stuff that Ive heard. They're huge in Germany (unsuprising) and they pretty much pull massive crowds wherever they play (including here when they do) just be warned if you do decide to use Pyro make sure its all officialy over seen by a qualified fire safety type person because I remember reading a story about a band using pyro in some club a while back who managed to set fire to the whole place and burn it down.
19. I like this quote -"This bass model has been praised by many of today’s leading bassists and has therefore become resurgent in its quest to re-establish itself within a highly competitive market". To re-establish itself? when was it "unestablished"?! Im pretty sure that the jazz bass remians the most popular type of bass to date.
20. Basically anything with a decent set of jazz or humbucker pups. generally precisions sound a little too chunky with not enough mids or highs for a decent slap that cuts through the mix. An active will give your tone a little more clarity in most cases. See if you can score a secondhand musicman sub or a nice mexican or japanese jazz, If im right there was a modded mim jazz in the for sale thread on this site.
21.
That's a lot of chat for not buying my bass. Cheers Chaps
Keeps your post near the top though eh?
22. I find flea to be very a creative and musical player and I find his style of aggressive slap playing to be quite unique (or at least it was towards the earlier stages of his career) and I had no interest in picking up an instrument until I heard the basslines on Blood Sugar Sex Magic so he single handedly inspired me to pick up the bass. I also like Justin Chancellor from Tool, I think his basslines always sound original, creative and he has great tone. Les Claypool because....well.....because he's Les Claypool.
23.
'.........Isn't that regarded as hijacking someone elses' thread??!!
Yes it is, there was a discussion about this sort of thing a little while back. JimH thats not on you've got your own for sale thread, theres no need to try and pedal your gear on somebody elses.
24.
Here's a pair of bumps: This can make it's way to Harrogate if you're interested in checking it out. The bass not the bumps!! Peter
Best bump in the history of basschat ever
