  1. If you want to rumble the bass a bit, Prince Douglas
  2. This must be one of the tunes I remember the most from this era , Ruddy Simbal the system, the version has a great Bassline
  3. The pro 2 is a very good stable instrument and I’m doubtful it’s anything to do with the nut ,or anything else except that it’s not been set up properly, as Beedster has mentioned look for any wear on the truss rod nut, I always do this and it’s a good indication of use, hopefully for you it’s a simple fix , just check it over really good , good luck
  4. The pro 2 should set up really low, I’m guessing as above that there’s a lot of relief on that one, I’d see if you can get some pictures of the neck from the top looking down or from the bottom looking up to see how straight the neck is for more of an idea, they are great basses, good luck
  5. Never taken a spare and luckily I’ve never needed one, and I’ve never broken a string since I’ve been playing
  6. Think the OP was asking about the scratched initials, not the brand
  7. This thread’s given me ideas of getting another 62 stack knob reissue, there’s really not many available in white, looks like Andy Baxter might have a sunburst one coming up
  8. I’m into vintage basses and strangely if it’s been refinished that’s the one thing that puts me off buying it, I think the finish is part of its charm and history, but I do agree that if it’s in a bad state for some reason then a good finish can make it look good ,if you intend to keep it it doesn’t matter, but it devalues it considerably
  9. Think I posted this a long time back, great song and one of my favourite films
  10. Good luck mark I hope you get it sorted soon
  11. A new bass should be in new condition, if it’s B stock, ex demo or used then it’s kinda expected but still noted , if it was me it would go straight back
  12. Similar to me ,because I had one of these reissues only a few years later than the one above and stupidly sold it for a Sandberg
  13. Yeah I suppose you’d have to because a refinish would ruin it
  14. That’s a possibility, and maybe get someone to finish that small area to match, but would that affect the value
  15. I like the 82-84 Fullerton ones , I often look and they don’t come up very often , but that’s overpriced for the condition it’s in and the neck wear doesn’t seem natural to me
  16. Welcome Jacopo
  17. Definitely right, looks really nice and a slim nut width too
  18. Sorry to hear this b5, hope you get on your feet real soon, you’re welcome to borrow one of mine anytime
  19. So nice in every way, congrats
  20. Great one eloisa, I was playing the bassline to that only the other day, this is good too
  21. After going through so many basses over the years there are some things that are not for me, although not as particular as some 😁 no blue or green colours no gold hardware no 5 strings any more No natural finishes No neck-through’s
  22. Probably not something I would have thought of but that is wonderful , looks like amazing build quality, what’s it like to play
  23. Have you moved all the basses on, and what was in the cream coloured one
  24. Can’t say I really like most Christmas songs but I did enjoy getting this one together, it’s fairly busy but good fun
  25. TI’s have red silks at the ball end too like these
