Being a carpenter I’ve come across this many times, the normal practice is to cut a slot in the broken screw and ease it out with a slotted screwdriver, you can make it easier by drilling 2.5mm holes around the screw but you would have to plug the bigger hole after, or failing that it’s an extraction kit

It’s just another bass at the end of the day, If I played one in the shop and I really liked it, it would be going out the door with me, irrespective of my playing ability , I would also use it in my local pub, but I’ve got a feeling that I would probably end up picking up one of my fenders before the Fodera after a while

I’ve got the big baby ll , that really drops some deep bass , Don chandler uses 2 of them 🙂

Yeah, I had a quick search and couldn’t find a bass similar , I’ve seen Robbie play 5s often and I’ve rarely seen him use the low B, he seems to play the 5 as a 4 🙂

Yeah usually a rise in the neck at the body end that the truss rod won’t straighten, it can stop you getting a low action

Nice one walshy, I enquired about that bass when it was first listed which was quite a while back now, he didn’t tell me about the ski jump, glad I didn’t make the journey 👍

It’s quite dark and well played in but i think the picture makes it look darker than it is 🙂

Thanks Paul 👍, its quite worn up close, it’s only a MIM jazz and I had the headstock matched with a gold decal, it plays just as good as my US ones

I had a few like that, they were just sitting in their cases, a friend came round to look at one and ended up buying 3 from me, which has made room for some more 😁

I found the custom build a tricky one, I did this and on paper and in pictures it was absolutely perfect , everything I wanted in a bass, and it was a superb build , but I could never really gel with it 100% , and ended up losing money

There’s a few I wouldn’t sell and they are both jazzes, lots have come and gone but these 2 are staying , they just set up with a really low action 1.5mm and play really nice

It’s a good question, in my experience the only way you find out what you like is to buy them , play them for a while, and see if they work for you, I’ve gassed over many and some expensive and they were just meh, it’s a good learning curve, it’s fender precision’s and jazzes for me now 🙂

If you want it, just buy it, I don’t think your playing ability comes in to it , I just buy what I like 🙂
