1. Great to have date confirmed so early - thanks Colin! ☺
2. As has already been said, this is an insanely good price for a very high quality instrument... and given that fact, it's really disappointing to hear that you're being mucked around further still by puerile lowball offers. As the site has grown over the years though, that trend has only increased unfortunately, which does make selling higher-end gear harder to sell on BC these days. Back on the more positive side (I hope), this bass is going to make someone very happy very soon and best of luck with the sale!
3. +1 Dundee is a bit to far from me, being on the south coast.. Thanks for letting us know though, and GLWTS. ☺
4. +1 Great work folks!
5. Lovely !!
6. ^^ +1 I used one of these for 4 years, gigging every weekend pretty much and it was brilliant. Plenty of power, gorgeous tone straight out of the box, fantastic e.q. and best of all for me at the time, 2 channels - which was so useful in a gigging situation when using 4 and 5 string basses during the same gig! As has already been said, what's on offer here for £300 is an absolute bargain. GLWTS
7.
Cheers Nik, I'm a little surprised that there hasn't been more interest in what is I feel the best cab that may can buy and almost made of unobtainium too Price negotiable of course. Peter
Unobtanium - that's a very good description of this cab! It's fortunate (from my point of view) that (1) I don't need any more cabs, (2) you're a long way from the south coast and (3)I'm about to move house soon so funds are tight, otherwise I would be very tempted by the chance of owning some unobtanium myself...
8. Amazing cab, perfect gentleman in Peter to deal with - I'm surprised this doesn't say 'Sold' already! GLWTS
9. Cheers Mark ☺
10.
Lovely bass and sweet playing, very nice. GLWTS
+1 Very musical playing.. I like your other videos too, especially the one with the cello! Anyway, GLWTS ☺
11.
Well that confirms it, the World really is upside down !
Have you only just realised that Mike? It's felt like that for a long time to me... 😁
12. That's a beauty of a bass! Love the black hardware on it too... GLWTS
13. Hi Folks, I recently sold a Genz Benz Nx2 212 cab to Mark via Interparcel/UPS and unfortunately, it arrived with a bit of damage to it thanks to what I can only assume was an over-enthusiastic, spinach-eating courier! Specifically, there was a broken caster and non-functioning tweeter, but as Mark is quite deft at fixing things, the cab now has a set of casters and a working tweeter which is great news.. This has only had a positive outcome though because myself and Mark have been in constant communication from the very beginning and because he's a great person to deal with, being both very patient and very fair minded & understanding. So, I'm very pleased and relieved to say that what started out as a great transaction with Mark has ended in just the same spirit, which is fantastic... He's a great guy to deal with and a real credit to Basschat, so rest assured that you can deal with Mark with absolute confidence folks! ☺ Mark; thanks very much and I hope you enjoy the Genz - it's a great cab! Cheers Nik
14.
I absolutely love these combos. The best combo ever made in my opinion. I've gone for lighter weight or I'd be knocking on tour door! Set everything flat and play with the magic enhance knob and it's all you will ever need. Every bass player needs to try these at least once. GLWTS.
+1 I had one for 4 years and gigged it regularly. The incredible versatility of the e.q. was so useful in different venues - I don't think I ever had a bad sound! GLWTS
15. Thanks for explaining... ☺
16. Love the look of these... How do they sound and what made you build the different types? GLWTS
17. Let's just go for 29 September 2018...
18. Classic UK built bass that looks even better than I remember these being. GLWTS
19. A word of thanks from 4Sight...
20. Just sold a Gherson Jazz Bass to Chris, which must be about the 5th or 6th time we've bought/sold gear on Basschat... Apart from having legendary Basschat status, Chris is always a pleasure to deal with and is one of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet. Highly, highly recommended ! Thanks Chris - hope you enjoy the bass and here's to the next one.. 😁 Nik
21.
Well, the SEBB was a financial success and as usual we made a profit that has been distributed to good causes as follows: http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/ - Specifically for breast cancer http://prostatecanceruk.org/ - For those gentleman's nether regions http://www.4sight.org.uk/ - Supporting people with sight loss http://www.shootingstarchase.org.uk/ - A local children's hospice I am hopeful that we can arrange next year's SEBB at the same location around late September! I've already had a planning meeting, well it was actually an excuse to go to the pub, about what contacts we can approach to make a guest appearance at next years SEBB. The short list is impressive! Don't do anything stupid and book any gigs/weddings/proposals/bar/bat mitzvahs for the last two weekends in September 2018 - exact date to be announced as soon as I get confirmation. Keep it deep Colin
Thanks Colin, It's great news that we've been able to support 4 good causes this year. 😊 So, in terms of dates for next year's Bash, we're looking at either Saturday 22 September 2018 Or Saturday 29 September 2018 Pencil them in your diaries now, Folks!
