1. Just a quick message to say that Ollie came over to help me out last week; he gave up a few hours of his time to help an old Luddite like me understand how to better use my Boss ME-50B FX pedal.. It's very cool by the way, now I know more about it's potential! Anyway, apart from the fact that he is a very talented and creative bassist/musician, he really knows his stuff when it comes to FX.. So, I'm hoping he'll do a workshop on it all at next year's SE Bash. Cheers Ollie Nik
 2. I recently bought an unloaded Peavey cab from Robert which was exactly as described.. All in all, it was a very easy transaction and Rob's a really friendly person to deal with. Nik
 3. BUMP for price drop to £50 + p&p for the OC3. Ebs BassIQ now sold. Thanks for looking
 4. For the record, here's a list of the equipment Bryn (UrbanKarma) demonstrated: 1. Sonoma Wireworks guitar jack (for iPhone, iPad) 2. Keith McMillen Soft Step floor control 3. Apple Mac Book Pro, running Main Stage 4. Markbass Multiamp Bass (there is a guitar model as well)
 5. Brilliant work Silvie! Great photos; they really show what a good day it was and what an amazing turnout we had.. Thanks for all your hard work and support! Nik

 7. Hi Silvie I've got a couple of photos of Urb's workshop.. PM me your email address and I'll send them to you. Bryn was demoing the new Markbass Multi Amp..but I'm not sure what else he was demoing. I'll contact him to find out.. Nik
 8.
How about a dedicated room for monster rigs and loud playing (with a health warning)? I stayed out of the main hall and mostly kept to the jam room and I never needed to wear my ear plugs. Because we could all hear ourselves, it was an absolute pleasure to be there.
+1 This is definitely something we need to get right at future Bashes and it's good to see a 'calm and reasonable' discussion taking place about it already.. We obviously want people to be able to come and enjoy the day as much as possible and that can sometimes be difficult to achieve because people have very different expectations of what sort of facilities/activities a Bass Bash should have on offer.. There are logistical and organisational issues that affect this directly; having enough spaces at our disposal for the day, having enough people to set up the various spaces at the start, being able to manage all the different rooms/spaces properly through the day, etc, etc, etc. Suffice to say that we're going to have a debrief about it between us, take on board what comments have been made, and then hopefully, we'll have a 'cunning plan' for going forward (as Baldrick would say).
 9.
Yeah, there was gaffa tape in the tombola prize list too. We could have gaffa'd the velcro and velcro'd the gaffa...just to be safe, you understand.
10.
Lovely - prefer these to customs
+ 1
 11. Very nice Colin; both the new bass and Alex's weapon of mass destruction
 12. A post 'South East Bash' type BUMP !
 13.
I reckon next year's will be a cracker Will you be uploading any pics you took yesterday Nik?
Yes, will do tonight
 14. Wow! What a fab day Thanks to everyone who came yesterday and to everyone who either worked behind the scenes to make it happen or who gave a talk/workshop. Loads of people gave either their time, support, ideas, knowledge/experience, donations, general goodwill etc, etc -it was just brilliant! Sorry about the SNAFU with the tombola and things over-running; as Jack's already said, 'less is more', so we'll try and get that right next year. I didn't get to see much gear, but obbm's Sadowsky, smaz's Fender fretless and the new Barefaced cabs were amazing!! Got to thank especially, Walbassist for sorting out the action on my Blade B15 and Doug who helped us set up at 9am - cheers guys. Plus Matt from Admiral Roadside Assistance who helped me to get home after I stupidly locked myself out of my car as I was just about to leave... And really cool to see Kiwi again after so long too.. Here's to next year already
 15.
Unfortunately not - that's one reason why I didn't really persevere with it! I will bring it anyway, maybe someone else will have something we can plug it into! Pete
Cool..
 16.
Back in the room. See you all sometime earlyish I hope! A load of stuff in to go in the car. How much I unload depends on what else arrives. Nighty night all
Cool - see you there Al
 17. Right; signing off for the evening now, so just to wish you all a safe and speedy journey tomorrow.. See you there!
 18. Hi Pete, Do you have anything to demo it with at the Bash tomorrow? Would be interested to hear it on action.. Nik
 19.
I hope the substation at Addlestone is prepared forthe power surge when all this lot plugs in ?
20. There's usually lots of chairs, so shouldn't be a problem at all..
 21. Many thanks Chaps! Don't you just love this place...
 22.
I will be bringing a couple of Jazz scratch plates - don't know which of the multitude of Fender models they fit, but if anyone can identify them I should be grateful. Oiz gettin 'sited now.
Cool!
What's the problem Nik?
neck's a bit straight I think...
If I can persuade MiniMert to come along for a bit then I will put in an appearance but I doubt I'll be able to. He didn't mind about 30mins of slapping at the 2012 London Bass Show... That's a pretty good threshold of pain...
Understood mert but would be great to see you and mini-Mert even for an hour
 23. Hi Folks Just posting a picture to clarify that my BassIQ pedal is the true bypass version. As you can see, the manual clearly states it's True Bypass. As I understand it, the newer models say 'True Bypass' on the pedal itself.. But EBS pedals have all been true Bypass from 2008 as I understand it. Nik
