WITHDRAWN

I have used these two basses extensively over the last 6 months with the band, and recorded with them too. They're awesome basses, they sound and play amazing, but I'm after another Fender Precision.

Various pictures can be seen here too:

The black one is the standard Korean made one, with the SD QP pickups
The Sunburst one is also Korean, but is the Robert De Leo model and has duncan designed pickups.

Both basses are unaltered. There a few light dings but nothing major. I'd value them both at £350 each, There is no case with either.

I'm in Macclesfield, and delivery within reason is possible, post is not out of the question, but I'd rather not, I'd rather meet.

They were used on our recent EP, and sounded magnificent.

One or both for cash, trade, I'm open to suggestions, but it's a P bass I'm after.

let me jump in here. Bass was bought from (Rayman) Great guy & Great seller! Sadly the bass is not for me so i have decided to sell on. After i sell on ebay with Fee's & Paypal charge i will make a massive profit of .................£30! And you will also notice i have offered a 'Best offer' option! Not sure what the issue is here? You buy a bass and it turns out it is not the right one for you...........Anyone ever had that scenario before????

I have repeatedly tried to sell the dean bass on here, gumtree and ebay with no luck offering a waaayyyyyyy lower price for a new bass.

Like most bass players i love buying, trying and selling basses and i have NEVER sold for a profit. I have sold many basses on here over the years but it is getting harder to move stuff on these days hence the option of ebay which i hate i may add!

Fear not folk no basses will be sold via basschat and i can assure you all with my bass collecting addiction i have lost way more money buying and selling over the years than you can imagine. I am not a retail outlet just an everyday joe who likes moving on basses that are not being played.

For some people it may be that that's the issue - the implied 'code of honour' seems to be that if you get a nice deal or a nice bit of gear through BC, it should be offered up here for the same price if it's ever moved on.

However, now that there's the fee for selling perhaps it's not fair to expect that course of action, especially if someone's had a bad experience trying to sell here before, as it costs money to do.

It also might have seemed a bit mean to put a model T back into the BC pool again when Rayman still has its sister up for sale...

I'm sure we can all agree that's the fundamental principle of this game!

Probably not the place for this post here, but surely if you buy something it belongs to you and you can then do what you like with it? Selling things for a profit (and sometimes not) is what our entire culture is based on - why should it be any different in this case?

Regardless of the ethics of flipping it so quickly on eBay, at least have the decency to use your own photos.

There is something about that shot of the two of them in bed together that catches the eye though :)

For all you good people out there my mobile phone is busted and i do not have a camera at the moment to take a photo of bass hence the reason i used above photo (will remove photo) okay with you........wingknutkj?

Hi Simon, thanks for the interest but after 10 years of selling basses on basschat (sold 18 in total and bought over 20!) i'm done with it. Just way too much forum shouting to continue .Real shame as every bass i have ever owned has been secondhand and i have always viewed forums like this the best way to get a bassist on a budget (like myself) a good quality bass. Over the next few months i will be moving the reminder of my bass collection via ebay ( pains me to say it).

RAYMAN Hope the black schecter goes soon as they are cracking basses! And as i said before this guy is a great seller!

Cheers for all the feedback now put baby back in the bathwater x

Up to you what you do with it once you have bought it.

But;

re-using Rayman's picture; why not just wait for a week until you have a camera sorted out?

selling it so quickly after purchase, I would say does not give you time to 'really' try the bass out - I would persevere with it for a while especially after the expense and logistics

Justifying your actions on here to everyone when it was noticed.....
I would say that it does not look good, possible question of ethics and original intent....perception and all that.

'tis better to remain silent......

As for Rayman, have a bump on me. Assuming my Jazz sells, may be back to you for the other model T.
