  1. oops, forgot to bump up for a while type bump
  2. Great cabs these - small, light, loud - New Yorks Finest
  3. 'tis true, they pack a mighty punch for their power rating - I used my first one a couple or three years ago through two 8ohm Yamaha 1 x 10's when standing in with a seven piece band - loud drummer, keyboards plus brass, etc and was asked if I could 'turn down a tad' !!
  4. **£250.00** + post?? or trade for a Markbass 801combo?? Due to my Gigging days very possibly being at an end - here is my Markbass LM250 watt Bass Amp, which is one of the original Italian built jobbies, before production was moved to the Far East. The amp is in good used condition with just a few marks from normal use, apart from that there are no issues and everything works as it should As explained to me by someone - unlike me, who knew what they were talking about - a 500w amp is not twice as loud as a 250w amp! In fact it would take a 2500w -ish amp to be 'twice' as loud as a 250w amp. Therefore, the LM250 has more than half the volume of the LM500 jobbie and as dear old Marco himself says "the LM250 is almost as loud through a 4ohm load, as the LM500 is through an 8ohm load" and having owned and played through several of these since they first appeared - I can vouch for the amount of umph available - particularly at 4ohms So to get the very best from this amp it is best to use either one 4ohm cab, or as I always did - use two 8ohm cabs, the beauty of which was that for small gigs and rehearsals I could just take one cab and then if it was a larger venue, I used both cabs to draw the full 250w from the amp - boomshanka !!... Here are those specs we all love so much - TECHNICAL SPECS INPUTS INPUT impedance 500 Kohm, max. voltage 15 Vpp BALANCED INPUT (XLR) impedance 100 Khom, max. voltage 25 Vpp EFFECT RETURN impedance 22 Kohm, max. voltage 25 Vpp CONTROLS GAIN -80 dB to +23 dB range MASTER VOLUME GROUND LIFT switch on rear panel EQUALIZATION LOW center frequency: 40 Hz; level: ±16 dB LOW MID center frequency: 360 Hz, level: ±16 dB HIGH MID center frequency: 800 Hz, level: ±16 dB HIGH center frequency: 10 kHz, level: ±16 dB VPF (Variable Pre-shape Filter) center frequency 380 Hz (cut) VLE (Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator) frequency range 250 Hz-20 kHz (cut) OUTPUT LINE OUT balanced XLR, max. voltage 10 Vpp EFFECT SEND unbalanced, max. voltage 20 Vpp (pre-EQ) TUNER OUT unbalanced, max. voltage 25 Vpp SPEAKER OUT speakon, 1/4" OTHER WEIGHT 5.73 lbs / 2.6 kg DEPTH 10.1 in. / 25.6 cm WIDTH 10.87 in. / 27.6 cm HEIGHT 2.8 in. / 7.1 cm OUTPUT POWER 150W RMS @ 8 ohm, 250W RMS @ 4 ohm POWER REQUIREMENT 100/120V; 230V; 240V 50/60Hz Please feel free to arrange a try out, there are no issues and the amp is in good used condition, or if you are too far away, I could post to the UK Mainland

Did a p/x with Mark and everything went without a hitch He is a thoroughly decent Chap, an absolute pleasure to deal with and I would recommend him to anyone Thanks again Mark
  6. Great review Mark, these babies sure do pack a punch especially at 4ohms Although there is only one speaker output, I think it is a dual Spakon / 1/4" Jack - so you never get caught out if you forget your Speakon lead and as Mark says, almost all cabs have their inputs wired in parallel these days, so it 's no problem to 'daisy chain ' two 8ohm cabs to obtain 4ohms to get the full 200 watts from this wee beastie
  7. Spot on there, it can get rowdy - especially at 4ohms:)
  8. Can't believe this hasn't been snapped up yet type pump Bargain of the Century, best bang for your bucks cab in the Universe - bar none
  9. Can't believe this is still here !! Great cabs with lots of bottom end, plus clarity due to the very high quality horn!! Loved mine and no time wasted trying to control that mid bump that in my humble opinion of course, a lot of the newer, slimmer style, lightweight cabs seem to have ??!! Weekend bump for the king of the lightweights
  10. In complying with the current kitchen vipers house rule of 'one in - one out' - here is my GK MB200. Silly small - silly light, but with enough volume for rehearsals and small / medium Gigs and due to it's minuscule size, could be the ultimate back up amp http://youtu.be/69spscU1V8o Aux in / headphone out, so excellent for silent rehearsal 10 DB switchable Pad Four Band EQ 200w RMS at 4ohms - 140w RMS at 8ohms Contour switch for instant scoop tone Combined Speakon / 1/4" Jack Speaker Out XLR Direct out with Pre / Post EQ button Weighs only 2ibs 7.75" W x 8" D x 1.75"H - so actually fits into my Bass Gigbag pocket In excellent condition, with just a few marks from general use
  11. I attempted to order two of the 'elusive' first ten cabs - within around twenty minutes of receiving the notification and was told they had all been snapped up 'within the first hour'??!!...

Had a third cab from Martin & it was just as perfect as the first and second ones Thanks again Martin - fab service as always Tim
  13. If memory serves - I'm very old - the footswitch Jack is to accept the Eden EF2 Fooswitch which has two buttons - one to mute the amp for tuning etc - red LED and the other is to by pass the enhance feature - green LED & so effectively providing a different sound at the flick of a switch - neat Incredible features on these wee beasties
  14. Bump for a great amp + the case is a work of art and Kev is an absolute delight to deal with, dip yer bread Chaps !!
  15. I'm sorry to say that I have finally cracked under the 'advice' from the current Kitchen Viper that as my 'regular' gigging days are all behind me - Satan!! I no longer need the trouser flapping, window shaking volume levels that eminates from this wee beastie !! Having tried almost everything, umpteen times over during the past forty odd years, I can honestly say, in my humble opinion of course and without fear of contraception This is the smallest, lightest, loudest & tonally pleasing cab I've ever had the pleasure of playing through, let alone be lucky enough to 'own'!! Shrinking the boundaries of bass cabs: The Super Midget builds upon the legacy of the original Midget "the smallest cab ever that can hang with a rock drummer" by adding bigger bottom, better dispersion, better tone and improved portability. Noticeably better at amplifying acoustic instruments like double bass whilst able to bring more depth and fatness to the lows on loud gigs. Half the weight but twice the output of the most popular 1x12" cab on the market. What else do you need to know? It's a tiny lightweight 1x12" with fully adjustable high quality tweeter It'll play loud with as little as 150W, it'll handle 600W amps without sweating If you add a second then the mini-stack will sound huge but for most gigs you'll only actually need one Who is this for? Ideal for the working bassist who doubles on electric and upright and gigs in loads of different bands. Any bassist who wants to hear the true tone of their bass and amp but needs the smallest possible bass cab. Bassists looking for a more powerful and better sounding yet very compact replacement for a high quality 2x10", 1x15" or 1x12" cab or combo, especially if they like tweeters or prefer fresh roundwound strings. 5-string players who are tired of small cabs just not handling the low B. DIMENSIONS 17.5" high x 16.5" wide x 11" deep 45cm x 42cm x 28cm WEIGHT 10.5 kg / 23 lbs (steel grill) 9.5 kg / 21 lbs (cloth grill) PISTONIC SENSITIVITY 97dB - only fractionally less than our very loud 1x15" Compact USABLE FREQUENCY RANGE 37Hz - 20kHz RECOMMENDED AMP POWER 200-600W RMS MAX CONTINUOUS BROADBAND SPL 127dB - louder than the best 2x10"s NOMINAL IMPEDANCE 8 ohms This has the optional extra Retro, Silver Grill for extra coooool & comes complete with a Roqsolid cover, which has the optional extra 'gusset' to keep it in place. The cab is in as minty condition as possible, (as is the cover apart from a smidge of fraying at the bottom) & is in perfect working order, with no issues. Cash on collection would be good - so that the buyer can give it a good try out before parting with their 'hard earned' - But I can post to UK Mainland - at cost if you are too far away - payment via Bank Transfer please. Go on, treat yourself and save around £200 on a new one with the extras - plus no 'wait time' !!
  16. Thank God for that - well said that man - I was beginning to think it was 'me'!! Not only did I think the upright Guys would be having fisty - cuffs over these, but Dunc is right, they were £599 a piece when new!! Plus they are versatility personified - Bass, Keys or even guitar backline, incredible monitors - you hear 'everything' - they could even be used as PA cabs in small venues and you need to hear a CD played through them to believe their Hi Fi ability!! Needless to say that if I was still gigging regularly, I would have these in a flash!! Small, light & loud - boomshanka GLWTS - but you shouldn't really need it type bump !!
  17. Kev bought my other Epi from me and as usual the deal went without a hitch. Great Guy who really looks after his gear !! Thanks yet again Kev - a pleasure to deal with you - as ever !!
  18. Bargain alert!! only a few quid change from a grand for two of these beauties when new!! Oodles of Hi Fi tone, small, light plus excellent build quality !!
  19. Cracking little amps these & loud little buggers at 4ohms Used one with two 1 x 10's to stand in with a seven piece outfit with keys, horn section, loud drummer & was asked if I could turn down a tad!! - but then again, I suppose it could have been due to my poor playing !! .... Plus THE best back up amp in Christendom - inexpensive, light, tiny and lovely tone - "Fab"

Martin is a thoroughly decent chap, an absolute pleasure to deal with and I would heartily recommend him to anyone without reservation:) Thanks again Martin, a pleasure as always Cheers Tim
  21. Still the best of the best small, lightweight Bass cabs - in my very humble opinion of course and rarer than a very rare thing Wonderful deep electric bass sound, with smooth mids and as much top end you will ever need due to the Ultra high quality horn. Plus, as I'm sure you know, just the very best acoustic bass sound - ever. Deep, throaty, feathery, dry faithful reproduction of those very hard to play large uprighty - type instruments I think that the lovely warm, rich sound from these is partly due to them being an extra inch or so deeper than many of the current mini marvels, which being a cloth eared old bint - (in my dotage) always seem a bit mid biased?? - again, in my very humble opinion of course. Second to none build quality and made from top quality Italian Poplar - I think?? 250w RMS Neodynium Driver 100w RMS Ultra High Quality Horn, with fully variable attenuator Power rating 250w RMS (peak - 600w) Suggested wattage 100w - 500w Two dual Speakon / 1/4" Jack inputs 8 ohms - so can be used safely with another cab 17" W x 13.75" H x 12.5" D - go to Gigs with this on your knee Only a shade over 22lbs / 11Kg - ish one finger lift type weight In excellent condition and full working order Wonderful Hi - Fi, clear sound and very loud. You are welcome to come and give it a good try out - PM me to arrange, if I'm not too far away in sunny North Stafforshire Or can post to UK Mainland, please PM me your Post Code for a quote at cost via Parcelfarce48 - ta
  22. Weekend bumperoony !!...
  23. ** £275.00 **???? Lovely amps these - with a very high spec and build quality. In excellent used condition, with the very - if any slightest of marks and a few very few light scratches underneath. Loud at 8 ohms and goes very loud at 4 ohms. Here are those Specs we all love ... 300 watts at 4 ohms. Frequency Response - 10Hz to 20KHz Eden 'Golden Chip' equipped. On board defeatable Limiter Incredible E.Q. section with a vast array of sounds. Light as you like at 4.3lbs or 1.95Kg - for the newer Fellas Controllable D.I. out. Both Speakon and 1/4" Jack Speaker outputs. Etc, etc, etc - please see pics Comes complete with Eden - padded Gig bag. Can post out next day delivery at buyers expense - ta No mains lead - unless you really need one, as I'm sure we all have plenty and I hate packing them in the same box as an amp as I received an amp once and despite being packaged well the plug managed to damage the amp - good old couriers !! Online prices at 'the usual suspects' seem to be in excess of £450 - not including the really nice padded Gigbag - so grab a bargain Guys
