  1. My Boss GEB 7 Bass Equalizer in very good used condition. Comes complete with mains adaptor, so no need to rely on batteries. The array of tone settings via this unit is incredible, enabling boosting or cutting of each carefully selected bass frequency & volume. Will post to UK Mainland if required at buyers expense
  2. My very rare MarkBass Micromark 601 Bass Combo in very good used condition, with just a very small amount of rat - fur missing from the front bottom rail - please see pic. Although not really loud enough for Gigging, it can be used to great effect for quiet acoustic sessions, in the recording studio, or as re-enforcement for Upright Bass. 50 wttts RMS of rich Markbass - bass tone - at practise volume - Fab Where it really comes into it's own is as a practise amp, having both auxiliary input for an MP3 or CD player etc and a Headphone out for silent practice. The original, historically noisy fan has been replaced for a super smooth, much quieter jobbie, but the original fan will be supplied - just in case someone wants it 'all original' I'll post some better photographs when I can find it, I'm sure it's in one of these draws OVERVIEW Practice with punch! The Markbass Micromark bass combo is an amplifier that is less than 9" in any direction. Despite only a 6" speaker, the Micromark is a practice amp with deceptively loud volume and the kind of sound quality you'd expect from a B&C speaker with Markbass electronics. Pumping out 50W of power, the Micromark amp boasts a mini-plug for attaching your CD or MP3 players, to help you master your favorite licks. The Markbass Micromark amp has a Variable Pre-shape filter for boosting lows around 35Hz and highs around 10kHz, and cutting mids at 380Hz”which is perfect for rockers and slap bassists alike. There's a volume control knob, headphone jack, XlR output for recording and live situations, a ground lift to eliminate hum, and a 1/4" jack tweeter out for the optional Markbass satellite tweeter. FEATURES 6" B&C speaker Mini-plug aux in (for CD or MP3 player) Mini-plug headphone jack Volume level control Variable Pre-shape filter XLR line out Ground lift Speaker off switch Tweeter jack for optional "satellite" tweeter Grill for protecting speaker Handle on top for transportation Dual-sided fiberglass PC boards with lined perforations for high-quality solder connections Surface-mount components are silicon-sealed to isolate vibrations Computer-grade pre-assembled ribbon connector cable harnesses and ribbons for noise-free operation Integrated threaded posts for easy assembly/disassembly and added durability SPECIFICATIONS Micromark 50W 1x6 Bass Combo Amp Speaker: 1 x 6" Tweeter: optional "satellite tweeter, not included Impedance: 8 ohms Speaker power handling: 50W RMS (AES Standard) Sensitivity: 100 db SPL Frequency response: 70Hz to 8kHz Crossover Frequency: 3.5kHz Dimensions: 8.86"W x 8.86"H x 8.62"D Weight: 9.26 lb. 3. **Now - £150.00 - including postage to U.K. Mainland 250w Dual Concentric 10" Speaker + switchable Horn - off / low or high seems to cover the full range of frequencies👍👍. Custom Ashdown grill - which is slightly darker than my poor photography shows Lightweight at 11.5kg and has a very small stage footprint at 46cm high x 32cm wide x 33cm deep and so is Ideal for rehearsals, or small gigs - but could be paired with another 8ohm cab for a loud - ish mini rig. 5. I have a J&D short scale Jazz and the finish, build quality and playability is nothing short of rediculous, especially at this price point
  6. Wow!! - they look fantastic pity they are not based in the U.K. Thank you
  7. Hi Chaps and Chapesses - does anyone know anywhere that can replicate a Tort Jazz scatchplate for my shortscale Jazz in Celluloid Nitrate ?? - thank you for your time
  8. Sorry to harp - on type bump - but I've just bought my old one back after having to sell it early last year to fund car repairs and it is every bit as good, if not actually better than I remembered

Just bought my fourth cab from Martin As usual he was an absolute pleasure to deal with and I really can not recommend him highly enough Superb communication and excellent packaging - 'Mustard' Many thanks again Martin - 'Fab' Cheers, Tim
  10. Peter very kindly agreed to sell back to me the Corvette 'shorty' that I had sold to him last year Once again he was a pleasure to deal with, very professional and his packaging is second to none Thanks again Peter, you are a credit to Basschat All the best, Tim
  11. Surprised to see this hasn't been snapped up yet!! They are soooooo comfortable to play and the only short scale that doesn't seem a bit 'cramped' to me, Excellent build quality, light as heck with lovely balance and a fantastic array of sounds - type bump
  12. Here is my nylon strung Martin Backpacker Travel guitar - It is a lovely, incredibly well made Martin with a solid Mahogany neck, back and sides. It is in excellent, very lightly used condition and has just been set up and a new set of strings fitted. Also included in the sale is an original Martin strap - which is essential, due to the shape of the body. However, attachments are available which enable it to sit on your knee. The original padded Martin Gigbag is included in the sale, which is also in excellent condition. Don't let the diminutive size of the Martin Backpacker Acoustic Guitar fool you. A braced, solid tonewood top with a solid mahogany neck, back, and sides gives this cool little guitar a surprisingly big projection. Built to withstand the rigors of camping, hiking, and off-road traveling. Includes high-quality chrome-enclosed tuners. A unique bridge on the nylon-string version accepts either plain or ball-end classic strings. Weighs less than 2 & 1/2lbs. Would be interested in a trade involving a good quality 1 x 10 Bass Cab, or a Fender Jazz Modern Player Shortscale Bass - in the white 'see through' finish Features Solid top Mahogany neck, back, and sides Enclosed chrome tuners Lightweight, small size Includes gig bag The Gigbag included in the sale is the original Martin one, which is padded and of very high quality. It also has an accessory pocket and a shoulder strap. Please get in touch if you would like to give it a try. Or if you are too far away I can post out at the buyers expense - to the UK Mainland only - sorry
  13. Bump for a cracking feature packed, great sounding amp - Absolutely love mine and if I was still Gigging regularly - I would buy this as a back up in a heartbeat GLWTS - but you shouldn't need any luck, this is a bargain !!
  14. Mike is a great Guy, an absolute pleasure to deal with and I would recommend him to anyone Thanks again Mike

  16. Graeme bought a cab from me, it was an absolute pleasure dealing with him and I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone One of the good Guys & then some Thanks again Graeme
  17. Thanks Guys, The cab is sold now - sorry, wish I had a dozen of 'em !! I'll never understand how such a small cab can produce so much bass if I live for 'another' 60 odd years
  18. What can I say? - singularly THE best bass cab I've used during the past 40 + years😳😳🙈🙈!! In excellent used, not abused condition and done very little work I would love to keep this, but due to not Gigging for the foreseeable future - read 'ever' Unfortunately, I can't justify hanging on to it The amount of bottom end produced from this mini marvel has to be heard to be believed!! Also doubles as a 'wall demolition unit' if you are doing a few home improvements Here are those specs we all love :- 15" high x 11.5" wide x 11" deep 38cm x 29cm x 28cm WEIGHT 7.5 kg / 16 lbs (steel grill) BROADBAND SENSITIVITY 95dB USABLE FREQUENCY RANGE 30Hz - 6kHz RECOMMENDED AMP POWER 100-250W RMS (safe with up to 500W if you're running fairly clean sounds) MAXIMUM OUTPUT ~119dB IMPEDANCE 8ohms The input / link are dial Speakon / 1/4" Jack sockets - as 'everything' should be - Quality Cash on collection would be nice, or if you are too far away - I can post via Parcelforce48 at cost price - just over £20 - ish, I think - to U.K. Mainland only - payment via PayPal gift, or Bank Transfer - thanks.
  19. Weekend Bumpity for a really nice amp
  20. Price - £225.00 posted to UK Mainland MarkBass LM250 watt Bass Amp, which is one of the original Italian built jobbies, before production was moved to the Far East. The amp is in good used condition with just a few marks on the base from normal use, but apart from that there are no issues and everything works as it should As explained to me by someone - who unlike me, knew what they were talking about - a 500w amp is not twice as loud as a 250w amp! In fact it would take a 2500w - ish amp to be 'twice' as loud as a 250w amp. Therefore, It would follow that the LM250 has a lot more than half the volume of the LM500 jobbie and as dear old Marco himself says "the LM250 is almost as loud through a 4ohm load, as the LM500 is through an 8ohm load" and having owned and played through several of these since they first appeared - I can vouch for the amount of umph available - particularly at 4ohms - all I know is, it's blinking loud Here are those specs we all love so much - TECHNICAL SPECS INPUTS INPUT impedance 500 Kohm, max. voltage 15 Vpp BALANCED INPUT (XLR) impedance 100 Khom, max. voltage 25 Vpp EFFECT RETURN impedance 22 Kohm, max. voltage 25 Vpp CONTROLS GAIN -80 dB to +23 dB range MASTER VOLUME GROUND LIFT switch on rear panel EQUALIZATION LOW center frequency: 40 Hz; level: ±16 dB LOW MID center frequency: 360 Hz, level: ±16 dB HIGH MID center frequency: 800 Hz, level: ±16 dB HIGH center frequency: 10 kHz, level: ±16 dB VPF (Variable Pre-shape Filter) center frequency 380 Hz (cut) VLE (Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator) frequency range 250 Hz-20 kHz (cut) OUTPUT LINE OUT balanced XLR, max. voltage 10 Vpp EFFECT SEND unbalanced, max. voltage 20 Vpp (pre-EQ) TUNER OUT unbalanced, max. voltage 25 Vpp SPEAKER OUT speakon, 1/4" OTHER WEIGHT 5.73 lbs / 2.6 kg DEPTH 10.1 in. / 25.6 cm WIDTH 10.87 in. / 27.6 cm HEIGHT 2.8 in. / 7.1 cm OUTPUT POWER 150W RMS @ 8 ohm, 250W RMS @ 4 ohm POWER REQUIREMENT 100/120V; 230V; 240V 50/60Hz Please feel free to arrange a try out, there are no issues and the amp is in good used condition, or if you are too far away, I could post to the UK Mainland - payment via PayPal gift, or bank transfer - ta
  21. Can't believe these haven't been snapped up yet?? I had two when I was still gigging and in my humble opinion, they were the best cabs money could buy - without taking out a mortgage of course!! Lots of bang, for very few bucks!! GLWTS - type bump.
  22. I had Pauls Prose Karuna headless and the only reason I parted with it was that I couldn't cope with the single cut body - I'm 'very' old Other than that, it was as good a fat wire as anything on the planet - honest injun - In fact Paul, if you are reading this and start building again I would love a shortscale, double cut version ??!!? ps - 'Bargain Alert'
  23. Mid week bumpity - bump
  24. A really nice 90's Status Energy which has been converted to Fretless by The Bass Gallery and a rather spiffing job they made of it too The fret grooves on the face of the fingerboard have been filled with a black filler which can be seen by the player, but not from off stage. This together with a lighter filler on the top edge of the fingerboard makes intonation much easier thus allowing mere mortals like me to play a Fretless in tune In good condition with just a few marks from normal use - no damage, or issues. Low action - all the way up the neck, so an absolute dream to play I think the body is Ash with a black see through finish, so the lovely grain can be seen. Maple neck -reinforced with graphite rods and a nice Rosewood fingerboard. Weight is a nice manageable 3.95Kg or 8.5lbs - ish in old money and no neck dive - it just hangs there saying - 'play me' Neck width at the nut is 1.5" or 40mm and 55mm at the twelve fret, but it's the 'skinniness' of the neck from front to back that makes it so damn blinking playable Status Active Electronics board - signed by the man himself Status J type pickups with active treble cut and boost, Master volume and pickup pan pot. Low action and a shiny fast neck. Due to the current shortage of long scale strings from Status, it is currently sporting short scale strings - Status Black Nylon Hotwires which although a bit 'short' seem to work OK, but I'm sure a new owner would want to fit the strings of their choice anyway. Original - prior to them having 'Status' printed on them - Gig bag which is also in good condition. Plays really well and sounds really nice, with plenty of that there mwoarrrrrrr we all love In North Staffs but could post at buyers expense to UK Mailand if required. **Please excuse my rubbish photography - this really does look at least a scrillion times better 'in the flesh' - honest Injun.
