  1. Bought from this very Parish as they say with a view to returning to more regular Gigging - umph ☹️, as I wanted something well built, with excellent sound / playability, in the Jazz Bass stylee , not too heavy, or expensive and this fitted the bill to a tee. All original with an Alder body, a lovely slim - 40mm at the nut and shallow profiled Maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard, 24 fret double octave neck, two Jazz pickups with VVT control lay out in good used condition, with just a few marks and the odd scratch consistent with normal use, but nothing major. The weight is a shoulder friendly 3.6kg, or 7.9lbs in old money - despite being solid and built like a tank, plus the bridge is superb, the machine heads hold tune really well, the ‘Musicman’ type layout is easy to use and probably aids the balance. Great range of sounds available from old school thump, to modern Hi - Fi Zingy type tones. Thanks for looking Chaps 👍
  2. Mark bought my LMll - to add to his collection 😳😳. He is a great Guy and an absolute pleasure to deal with, so needless to say - but I will - that I would recommend him to all on here. Thanks again Mark 👍👍
  3. Bought a spiffing cab from Paul and he was good enough to wait over a week to post it out as I was on holiday. The cab was at least as good if not better than described and needless to say, but I will 😃 that I would recommend him to all on here 👍 Thanks again Paul
  4. LittleMark LM ll + MB Gig Bag + Owners Manual + Rack Ears + original box in very good used condition, with just a few light marks from normal use. Bought from this very Parish only last month - hankering for a return to regular Gigging again, but I think I need to realise that’s not going to happen in my dotage ☹️ Plus it didn’t sound a scrillion times louder than my little GK does at 4 ohms to my old cloth ears, so I can use that for the odd, once in a blue moon Gig. I only have old passive basses with very low output pickups, but had the chance to try a friends active bass through it and that sounded very much louder - so I presume that an outboard preamp would have the same effect. I’m sure you are all aware of the build quality of these early made in Italy jobbies and the specs - 500w into 4 ohms, 300w into 8 ohms, plus killer EQ section that can produce warm and fat, all the way through to slinky HI Fi tones, using those Fab VLE and VPF filters. The Mark Bass Gg Bag is so good enabling the user to unzip the front and rear sections - leaving the amp in the case, which may account in part for the nice condition. All the zips are in good working order too, which I believe is quite rare.
  5. Bought an Ashdown Cab from Stoff. He was an absolute pleasure to deal with and needless to say, (but I will) 😃 I would recommend him to all on here 'without fear of contraception' - as Mrs. Slocombe used to say 😂😂. Thanks again Chris - Fab 👍👍
  6. Bought Pete’s LMII - it was at least as good, if not better than described - exceptionally well packaged and delivered very quickly - Mustard 👍 Needless to say - but I will - Pete was a pleasure to deal with and I would heartily recommend him to all on here 👍 Cheers Pete 👍

  11. ** Think Mouse 30" - without the mortgage 😂😂** Stagg Shortscale 30" Electro Acoustic Bass Guitar in nice used condition, with just a very few, if any marks from normal use - the worst one being on the top edge next to the EQ panel - no dent & appears to be under the finish? - please see pic and I'm sure any marks could be polished out if they bothered you - but nothing major. Great to just pick up without having to connect to an amp for instant noodling, but plug in to an amp and it sounds huge, which is probably down to the original Piezo pickup beng replaced with a more expensive, beefier jobbie. Just fitted a new set of Warwick Red Electro Acoustic Strings, which sound really nice - when I took the pics, it was sporting a set of black nylon tape wound Strings, which although sounded nice through an amp, were a bit quiet acoustically, plus they were way past their sell by date. EQ and Battery check - run off a single PP9 battery and the combined strap button & input jack is rather nifty. Lovely Flamed veneer finish to the sound board plus the finish and build quality are excellent. The short scale neck, which reminds me of my old 60's Gibson EB2 makes it a pleasure to play as I find a full 34" scale 'a bit of a reach' now I'm in my dotage. Comes complete with a Stagg Gig Bag, which albeit I think is made for the full scale version so is a tad too long, it still does its job. Unfortunately, I do not have a box for this, or a hard case and so therefore I would prefer not to post if at all possible - thank you. specs :- Top: Spruce Back & Sides: Rosewood Neck: Nato, 760 mm scale Bridge & Fingerboard: Rosewood Machine heads: Diecast nickel Electronics(active): Bridge piezo PU with compensated saddle + EQ7545Bass (Volume + B/M/T + Presence + battery check) Colour: Natural semi-gloss Any questions - please give me a shout👍👍

  15. Hope this is the right place for this? Brand spanking new and in totally unused condition (apart from just checking the fit & for pics) - Roqsolid black with black binding cover which fits my One 10 like a glove - but as kindly pointed out by the current kitchen Viper, I apparently don't really 'need' it as it never leaves home ☹️ £25.00 collected, or £30.00 including delivery to the UK Mainland
  16. The one with the soap bar pickups was the BBNF lll which was also passive and if memory serves, looked exactly the same as the BB404F apart from the pickups 😳😳
  17. Thanks Guys, Yes, I would have thought that 10K was ample too. Just tried the 'out of phase' test and I couldn't notice any difference in volume with both pickups flat out ☹️ The model is a Yamaha BB404F - passive, with two covered Jazz pickups - I had a very similar model a few years ago which had two soapbar type pickups and that was as loud as heck 🙉
  18. Hi, Thank you for your response, sorry I should have said I'd tried that ☹️👍👍
  19. Hi Guys, I have a Yamaha Fretless which is a joy to play, but unfortunately the volume / output is very low compared to my other Basses with the the amp volume at the same settings ☹️? I 'think' I have measured the pickup output correctly with a multimeter and they are both around the 10K mark. Do I need to change the pickups, or could it be something else - Help?
