I ordered one of those 1983 reissues when they very first came out. I remember it was delivered just before a fire drill at work. They weren't impressed I took it outside with me. I sent it back because I couldn't live with the awful replica tort plate.

Technically quite correct, but I believe the term was used descriptively in this instance.

Thanks. I'm hoping so, with the Nordstrand/Stinger combination.

I'm out (in a non-political way).

I have played a fretless, on and off, for about 40 years. There have been times when I haven't owned one but now have 2, with my SUB Stingray about to be converted to fretless, with a new fingerboard. That'll make it 3.

Explain PA setups to me like I'm an idiot
Steve Browning replied to proy900's topic in PA set up and use
Absolutely. I would certainly assist if the OP is in my part of the world. I think @Beedster asked where they were for this reason. -
The US suffix doesn't mean US built. Fender Japan made a version using alder for the body (and ash in some cases) and US spec hardware.

I remember her voice being described as having warm chocolate poured over you. Wonderful description. -

One very important thing to remember is always turn the mixer on first and off last. Every time you use the system. -
The larger plates denote a model that has US hardware and a US spec pickup. It is alder where the other models are basswood. Enjoy whichever you choose.

I would check out the PB70 first. Look on the back of the neck and see whther it has smaller tuner plates or larger. If they're larger (bigger than the Hybrid), I'd go with that, it's the PBUS model and has an alder body. I've not owned a Hybrid but I know the neck of the PB70 very well. It's my favourite and falls between a 'standard' Precision and a Jazz. However, if you can try both, buy the one that feels best. You can't go wrong with Fender Japaan.

The famous (and compulsory for me) B profile neck. -

I'm going to stick with having my SUB, sporting a Nordstrand pickup and Stinger preamp, converted to fretless with a new fingerboard. -
Fender precision bass 1971 Price 5000 euro
Steve Browning replied to gregorbass's topic in Basses For Sale
I'm sorry but you are going to have to provide more information before anyone makes contact. You want serious buyers, you should show yourself to be a serious seller. It's a lovely bass, for sure, but I woud doubt anyone will be interested without the other informatuon that has been suggested. The effort will be worth it, I'm sure. Apologies if that sounds harsh. -
Or follow the threads maybe? 🙂

For me, this. The Japanese Fenders are consistently well manufactured instruments. As for the more expensive variants, I haven't really tried many, as I've not been in the market for one. I would expect my SVLs are easily on a par with the Custom Shop. I really only got those because Simon (Law, the man who makes them) asked me if he could make me a bass. They replaced the two Japanese PB70US basses I was using at the time. Should have kept them. Would particularly like my ash bodied one back.

There's something very Amy Winehouse about her. Enjoying her set. Great cello playing.

A 15 year old Merc C350. The Saga quote would seem to be for an Aston though. About twice the next highest quote.

I use the Behringer own app. Others use Mixing Station because it can be used with many different mixers from different manufacturers. Mixing Station is about a fiver (so nearly free).

Do it. Just do it. I ummed and ahhed about going digital for ages and finally took the plunge. Why didn't I do it before? Do be prepared for a bit of a learning curve, and the on-screen layout is different for Windows, IoS and Android (for some reason) but it has been a game changer for our gigging experience. Everything has inproved significantly. The sound of the band has improved and we are delighted. We pretty much threw up some microphones to record a gig (USB into the computer running the recording software) and the sound quality was astonishing. Some good tutorials on YouTube, and plenty of great advice here too. You won't look back.

I put retired on my quote details. Same on both.
