I’m all for something like the Spanish national anthem, no words. Then you don’t have to hear the awful singing of the players during the pre match formalities and there’s no finger pointing when someone isn’t singing.

There was a short debate about this on Planet Rock, yesterday. My first thought were that Queen and The Who still continue under their original band name, despite only having 2 members from the classic line up. I’m not saying it’s right, just that there is precedent. BTW, Shamtera - 👏👏👏

1970’s Fender Mustang Bass. Best strings for through body?
ezbass replied to MungoBass's topic in Bass Guitars
I took the Fender flats off of my JMJ and fitted them to my ‘Ray short scale, with even more wrapped around the tuners, no problems were encountered at all. -

Phrased badly? You aren’t kidding - it makes little or no sense at all as it stands in the OP and could be read a number ways. In addition, if they recommend someone, who is to say, when the time comes, that the client haven’t hired the contractor off their own bat, from other recommendations? What an absolute shower!

I’ve been revisiting Steven Wilson’s To The Bone album. Hard to pick just one track, but I’ll go with the title track, which features Mark Feltham on harmonica, the tone of which makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

The funk is in the gunk, but only if it’s tone-gunk .

Fitting tuners if headstock holes are too big

Hipshot recommend aluminium HVAC tape, at least they did when I sent them an email regarding a similar situation, some time back. I eventually just used masking tape, worked/works fine. -
I’ve had occasional warnings about BD’s site possibly being fake, but it’s not consistent. As to BD’s ‘new website’, the constant reminders that this coming in their weekly newsletters, is becoming farcical. It’s been months and months, “New website coming,” nothing seems to be happening. It’s almost like they’re saying it just to deflect the various comments about how poor the site is (FWIW I think it’s OK, not great for sure, but no better or worse than The Gallery’s).

Hmm, maybe an Apple thing, my phone disagrees with my iPad.

I’ve had a warning on my system that my passwords on BC and GC have been part of a data leak. Any veracity to this?

Ah ha! Not just me then. It only started not listing this pm for me, if that time frame helps at all. -

Ooh, that’s not good to hear, especially as I have huge GAS for a Mullarkey. The one that I played at The Gallery was lovely, although I didn’t play it for long or really inspect it particularly closely, as it was out of my budget. -

I’m not a big fan of the nasal sound of soloed, Jazz placement, bridge pickups on long scale basses. However, all the demos I’ve heard with that style of pickup, in the same place (relatively speaking) on short scales, definitely have less nasal twang and more low end, which I like very much. -
😂 You win the internet! 👏👏👏

I’m currently really enjoying the single coil setting, with the tone wide open, it has that P Bass/ Rick thing going on.
