1. The pale spot in the middle is almost pickguard-ish.
2. If it has a matching headstock, I might just have to get one. If they done Shell Pink(with matching headstock) I'd be ordering 2 right now most likely.
3. Dang, this is moving from a major **** up, to a disasterpiece of epic proportions, a bloody shame.
4. They're certainly tasty looking.
5. Don't blame you, that one doesn't need a matching headstock at all.
6. Funny thing is, people would be pretty much delighted for Fender/dealers to do just this, assuming proper quality.
7. Low end = Ibanez, Cort, etc. High end = custom Roscoe.
8. I'd have one in a flash, if I could handle the 19mm spacing.
9. I picked up a set of them last Monday, just got around to popping them onto a bass. First thing, they didn't fit my 35" scale Roscoe, the taper on the E started before the nut, oddly enough the rest were fine, though it was a close thing with the B and A, so I'd imagine they wouldn't do for string through. They're not really bright out of the pack, no Daddario shimmer here, but they're not bad by any stretch. I'll see how they play over the next few days, to get a better feel for them.
10. Every time I check this thread, I expect to see a purple bass....
11. 4's have 19mm string spacing, and 5's have 17.5mm string spacing.
12. Ahhh! That's perfect, cheers! I bought it from Thomann, so I don't blame them for sending it with a 2-pin, I'll pick one up off that site ASAP, thanks again!
13. This is a brand new one, I don't need to daisy chain it or anything, it won't be going on a board. The stock adapter, and my 2-pin/3-pin converter is a wee bit wonky, and I don't want the power to cut out while playing.
14. Anyone know where I can get a standard 3-pin one? Or would a Boss one be compatible, I could probably get one of them at my local store. I just bought one today, and using the stock 2-pin and an adapter is pretty wonky, I'd prefer something more stable.
15. Problem is they just don't sell well, so Fender drop them. I'd love it if they still made Performers.
16.
There aren't many body shapes. The Coronada was just a Gibson Thinline shape but it looked great in Wildwood finish.A long=scale hollowbody is needed. Also a futuristic shape (V or Explorer ).
17.
About 150 years ago I seem to remember even name bands shambling on stage and proceeding to tune up in front of the audience, sometimes at length and with varying degrees of success depending on how drunk/stoned/tripping/mad the musicians were at the time.
How old are you?! On topic, no, they haven't.
18. Hamer Impact, eh? Sweet looking bass.
