1. I'd imagine because of the Sterling line, but OLP made other stuff as well, cheaper Trabens(which were dang cheap in the first place.....), and others I can't remember right now. I'm thinking the VAST majority were EBMM copys though.
2. Need them, for the music I play, probably not, definitely not most of them anyway. That's not important. What is important, do I want them, like them, use them and am I happier with my sound with them? Yes, yes I do/am.
3. I'd imagine it'll heavily factor on how well the current version sells before they'll think of bringing out the 77 style.
4. Can't understand it then, should be great. Haven't got any of the sweetened tunings set on?
5. Mine is incredibly accurate even when I tune below B. Are you rolling the volume back when tuning?
6. Yup, could even save the price of the mods, which would be sweet.
7. Lotta room there to pop in a neck pickup of your choice.
8. Don't mind me, I was mixing up the BC and the RS......
9. I've been using the 1x12 one with my Genz Benz Streamliner 600, with much success, but not gigging or anything(as I don't).
10. Wow, they took one of the coolest instruments ever(if somewhat unwieldy), and raped it...
11.
This (please excuse the skinny strings) ...Just to clarify, I like bright colours
This!
12. Most cabinets don't even reproduce the fundamentals of the low E properly, to be quite honest.
13. If you can get what you want from the showcase, or choose stuff that needs no finish, it seems to become a pretty sweet deal.
14. Looks a bit like ash, and IIRC that's generally what trans EBMM's were, so it's very likely.
15. Grain is looking good!
16. What I'd like to know is what level of string spacing they'd handle. Curious if they'd work on a 5er.
17.
Last time a girlfriend caught me spooning my bass, I had to sleep in the garden for weeks...

Nah, she's not that jealous Well, the pickups (Dimarzio Model J) arrived. The question is... where??? Ordered Friday from Thomann. Got an email and a txt the same day saying they had been shipped. Cool. On Tuesday I check the tracking url and it provided info of the whereabouts of teh parcel at various times... The last one was dated Tuesday, noon, saying "successfuly delivered". Well, I am sure they were successfully delivered, but it wasn't to me, that's for sure. No card was left or anything. I haven't had the chance to ask neighbours, as I've only been at home very late the past few days. I emailed Thomann to ask for more details, but no reply yet. I hope I find them by the weekend so I can install them. Why do deliveries have to get so complicated? Is it really so hard to leave a card??? Hmf.
Oh no, not good!
18.
very wise, great preamps
They are indeed, I just want something a little more modern/edgy on the Gadow, the MMSR is just a bit dark for me.
