  1. Also consider 'Lugs' - it's a chap in Northern Ireland who does a range of options for drivers, colours etc and aren't as pricey as 'big name' brands. https://www.facebook.com/LugsCustomIEM/
  2. Anyone here have experience with the JB Fullerton Standard at all?
  3. Thanks folks, good steer. I actually used to have a SM and foolishly sold it! Will keep an eye out....
  4. I forgot I was following this thread, and it's now reignited my desire to get a SC or SM to add to my BB2!
  5. Hi all, I'm moving on my jazz bass that these were fitted to. All now sold apart from the bridge.- SOLD -- Babicz FCH bridge. SOLD ----- £70 - Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder Jazz pickups. SOLD ----- Hipshot BT-2 D-Tuner SOLD ----- Kiogon Jazz loom for series / parallel switching. SOLD ----- Schaller BMF tuners. Thanks for looking, Al
  6. I have the ID14. I'm no expert but I think it's rather good. Once setup the interface is blissfully easy to use. It sounds good and seems sturdily built. Note that if you want to use the Line In from an MP3 player iPad etc you'll need to go to the DI or use a mic preamp to get the appropriate signal level. I don't know if this is common to all devices or just the Audient.
  7. Bit too far from me unfortunately, lovely looking instrument.
  8. That was immensely satisfying to watch.
  9. Playing the Race for Space album plus other older work at Brixton Academy a few years ago was probably the most stunning live show I've ever seen. Will have to watch the DVD one evening.
  10. Just received an item from Jack; good comms throughout, quick postage and packed to withstand even the most careless of couriers. Cheers!
  11. ---- SOLD ----- VINTAGE VJ74 JAZZ BASS - £140 Hi all, LISTING AMENDED, HARDWARE OPTIONS BEING SOLD SEPARATELY. Here is my Vintage VJ74 Jazz bass, modded to accommodate a Kiogon series / parallel switching loom but now back to stock. I'm not really a fan of sunburst so I was going to keep this for sanding and refinishing or have a spare at my folks; if it doesn't go then I shall crack on with that plan. Links for reference: https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/Vintage-VJ74-Reissued-Bass-MN-Sunset-Sunburst/2EYN. (not the same neck but the nearest I could find available) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKzQ0NJbsyE approx 4.3kg (I've misplaced my scales, will confirm once I've sorted the admin tornado that appears to have happened in my apartment) 38mm nut Wilkinson pickups, bridge and tuners. These are well thought of on here, and rightly so. I'd happily have these in another bass. Modifications: I extended the control cavity to fit the Kiogon loom, and shielded it. I've gently rolled the fretboard edges. I have also reshaped the headstock as I found it quite bulky looking. There are a few scuffs and marks from my tinkering but nothing too obvious, or anything that affects playability. I've priced this to account for the average used price, conscious of the modifications I've made to the body and headstock. Please see my other advert if you would like the upgraded parts for additional cost. If you're looking to release cash for a higher priced instrument I'd be happy to consider options for a Jazz, PJ or Jaguar-type of thing. I can deliver / host collection in or near Bristol, subject to distancing precautions. Postage also possible. Happy to send more photos should you require them.
  12. I'll be listing a modded J bass later today, and may well sell the bridge, tuners and pups separately depending on what interest it gets.
  13. Hi all, A quick mention for Carl and his LordoftheStrings online store based in The Netherlands. I struggled to find a certain set of strings anywhere but this storer had them; about 7 days delivery and prompt communications throughout. Even with a few quid delivery, it was reasonably priced. Worth a look if UK distributors don't have what you're looking for! P.S. I am not affiliated with them or a recipient of any free stuff (sadly). https://lordofthestrings.com/en
  14. 3 quid for a foldable fabric shelf that one can house a 13" laptop, either as a sun shield when working outside, or as a protective cover for gigs. I've used one with an X Air mixer and laptop together and it keeps away beer splashes / prying eyes. The back zips open so it can allow pass-through of cabling. https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/droena-box-dark-grey-10443974/
  15. I've had my Audio Technica device for a couple of years and it's solid. Low latency too : https://www.andertons.co.uk/live-pa/wireless-systems/wireless-receivers/audio-technica-atw-1501-system-10-stompbox-digital-wireless-guitar-system
  16. Superb album, stood out as one I go back to from my teenage years. They made electronic music sound natural. Nifty bit of bass playing there too!
  17. Thanks for the response; I think this will be a bit chunky for my liking.
  18. Reviving an old thread here.... How's the neck on the Supro? 43mm does seem rather cumbersome.
  19. Just received a bridge from Nick: prompt, well-packaged and with quick comms throughout. Thanks Nick!
  20. Further to some good advice thus far, I'd suggest tapping up a local BC'er to try out their kit; we won't need an excuse to have a cup of tea and nerdy chat about instruments! Although you could be waiting a while for the lockdown to end....
  21. @Cuzzie, looking forward to having a good play on yours, so to speak.
