I had a chance to stretch its legs a bit tonight and it’s certainly good enough for a small pub where space is a bit limited, which is useful as we have just a booking in for exactly such in January.

I grew up as a little kid through the punk era, hysteria was my teens and grunge my university days. I am not a fan of the massively complicated lines some like. I don't consider hysteria to be a brilliant technical album (beyond the production)but it was cleverly written to appeal beyond hair metals usual reaches and was, as you say, a game changer. (Any chance you could do some Sugar or Husker Du? Beaster would be perfect)

5-10 mine for me, another 15-20 for the pa and mikes, then an hour for the guitarist to fiddle with his settings.

Thanks guys, nice to have confirmation of what I thought. It’s a little cracker and turned up only a few miles from me. Only issue is an intermittent noisy fan (a few seconds after you turn it off) so I will check that out but otherwise I have a nice practice/ small venue amp for very little money.

Bigger cube?

Top one obviously, I think it can only be a 150w as on first fiddle it’s nowhere near as loud as my 250w gp7.

The GP11 has an area on the back for the power rating to be hand written in by the factory, sadly all the writing has long since faded hence the question.

I picked up a GP11 recently but it doesn’t have the power rating anywhere on it, I think they did 150 and 250w versions, is there an easy way to determine which it is?

If you look at the link and the controls it’s a bit tongue in cheek, the increase hair growth rate and call waiter controls had me chuckle a bit.

I have the ibanez tmb30, it really is superb for the money.

I always tend to think that if the band has to dress up in an over the top way then there is something lacking. It could just be the sort of music I like but I go to listen to a band, not to look at their clothes.

It’s gone already, I tipped my mate off as he is after a super cheap backup but it has already sold.

I remember when Performance bikes reviewed the first GSXR with fully adjustable suspension. It went along the lines of ‘provides the opportunity for an individual to set up the bike to their personal perfection, but in the real world all the knobs will be turned by a guy called Kevin and you will end up with a bike that handles like a complete dog’. This strikes me a bit like that.

I had an Omen IV for a while, the build quality and finish was far superior to any Fender or Gibson I have had and it played nicely. I moved it on because I couldn’t get a sound that suited me but that was a personal thing really.

I think someone has wasted the time it took them to write that out.

I don’t have an issue with band members wearing t shirts from other bands, it has happened for decades all the way up to the greatest artists. Wearing one for your own band is just sad though. I have a few t shirts with more politically motivated t shirts that I sometimes wear (awaits abuse) for causes that are close to me. I also have a couple of t shirts with a little known Banksy and one by favourite artist SPQR and they tend to get the most use.

Much rather a Spanish guitar than an Encore, to be honest a box and four bits of string would be superior.

I was given an Encore bass for my daughter. It’s truly awful. No amount of setting up gets it close to a nice feel and it sounds terrible. As there are loads of decent options available for not a lot of cash it’s amazing they are still going.
