You could try a lighter gauge of La Bellas, 49-109's(?) Alternatively, if it's that you've still got some saddle movement left but the windings are preventing any more adjustment back, try placing a small nut on the backend of the bridge. & thread the string through it. I had this problem on an Epiphone Flying V bass, apparently its common with it & Epiphone Thunderbird bridges too. With the strings going through small nuts & then the bridge, I've got enough to adjust the saddles back to intonate without the windings going over them. Hope this makes sense(?)

+1 Alesis SR16, but I like my Zoom MRT3 - easy to knock-up a beat on.

First amp was a V-S head, loved that amp. Stupidly P/X'd it for a Session 4x10 combo, which I hated. Would love to find another V-S at a reasonable price.

Bought & sold a fair amount myself on here with no real issues. Only been messed about twice in four years of using the BC Marketplace - no complaints. I've been messed around much more on Ebay! Very occaisionally get the odd question from a buyer, that I think is a bit daft, but try my best to answer it - no problem. I do accept it is a buyer's market, & sometimes people are new to the world of bass, & some people are less anoraks than others. The other thing, is that there are no seller fees for shifting anything on here like Ebay. Lastly, from the various deals I've done (bought & sold) I've made acquaintances with some sound people.

Here's my sonic blue mongrel. Sue Ryder body, Mighty Mite neck,Wizard 'Trad' pickup, cream pearloid scratchplate,Wilkinson tuners,CTS pots, PIO cap. Strung with some old 50-110 flats .

Very nice. Looking forward to seeing this when complete. Shame you're after chrome, got some gold Ibanez humbuckers going cheap, that would have looked nice on it. Good luck with the build.
