1. Is it just me or is he always slightly off time? I mean good for a 9 year old, and I'm sure he'll become a great player, but he doesn't seem as prodigious as other young musicians I've seen.
2. was it this spicy goat? http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...endid=230505100
3. That's some tight string spacing right there. Do you think it was always a 5-string?
4. There's a great gig going on at the Chillingham Arms in Heaton. My band (World is Static) are supporting Italian Goth Metallers Vlad in Tears, with further support from Violet Vortex. Tickets are £4 and avaliable from www.floorshowgothnight.co.uk and doors open at 7:30pm It should be a good night plus this will be he official album launch party of the new Vlad in Tears album 'Entrapped Soul'. They've come a long way so it would be good to get a big crowd.
5. £319 for a legend 6-string isn't too bad like. I got my 5 string from sound control for £369

7. I voted 5, but there are only 4 in my band. doh.

I'll see if I can find the thread...

That'll be Kev Cooke, fine bassist and singer.
Ah ha. Found him on youtube now I've got a name. Said Vampye and shopping centre in Milton Keynes: Good stuff.
9. The was a guy over on Talkbass, who is from this side of the pond, who does solo bass stuff. I seem to remember a picture of him playing a Warwick Vampyre in a shopping centre.
10.
I want a hot woman in my band too
I have one already
11. Hello there, I grew up in lincolnshire and my parents still live there so I go back during holidays and what not. What a dull place it can be.
12.
Mine came from Zings it was fine but the factory seemed to have a lot of trouble shipping the colour I originally wanted when I switched colour it was easy - good price to0.
http://www.playrecord.net/bowed-instrument...k.p1027049.html here's £275.99 with free p&p.
13. But scales can help you create lines, improvise and generally help your bass playing. If you can't be arsed to learn the notes then at least learn the patterns and positions.
14. I'm quite intrigued about this pedal after watching Lomenzo giving a demo of it on Bassplayer TV. Definetly seems like a cool piece of kit, and the price seems good too. Might look at trying it out if I ever have the funds spare.
15. That is a nice looking Yamaha, I wonder if they'll ever release something similar as a sig model.
16. I don't know about solving your problem, but the picture in your sig made me thing a bug had got into my monitor again! I've already got one dead one in there
17. Ooh, I got mentioned. On the subject of strange numbers; I've noticed some threads with a large number of replies but no views, how is this possible!?
18. I can't tell you from personal experience but I've heard a lot of good things about MIJ/CIJ Fenders. However, the Geddy Lee in particular seems to be highly praised by many and I've heard many people say that in their experience the japanese models can rival the MIAs and even best them. I think over here a lot of the American made intruments are overpriced because of import costs, plus in a lot of cases if the bass costs say...$1000 they'll sell it over here for £1000, making it twice as expensive or so.
19.
there's one goin in the for sale section, dunno how much you're wantin to pay tho: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=15698
That thing is, imho, fugly as hell.
20. Have you checked the Boss site yet? http://www.bossus.com/experience/interactive_demos/ Go on to the Compact Pedal Demo link and the ODB-3 is on there.
21.
how could i forget this one, Gold hardware, cheap, chavvy and taccy looking, no no no
I agree with that, gold in general is overated imo. On people, on basses etc etc.
