1. Sean, tbh you're reacting with a certain patronising arrogance you accused AM1 of having in her response. You're just winding things up further. I think there's been a bit of a communication era in this thread.
2. I think the point is that she's lazy, therefore wants something already written down. While it's true that they're rarely ever 100% correct they can still provide most of a song. IF there's a bit wrong here and there it's not too hard to make the adjustment.
3.
Any decent tabs have notation too............
Not one's on most tab sites. Aquire Guitar Pro 5, it's great for tabs with notation. I can't abide by tab on it's own, I need notation as well. I just wish I could read the music properly, I should learn really. Anyway, once you have guitar pro go here
4. Yeah but we're not talking just studio but live as well, I thought anyway.
5. Metal is a broad church though and I think Ps arn't as versatile for the whole range as a say a Jazz bass, or a spector. Spectors rock for metal \m/ I might be a bit biased though.
6. Alex Webster uses Spectors these days doesn\'t he? Ps do work for some metal bands, but it depends. Works alright here. But then again Sabbath music is more doomy/stoner than some of the thrashier stuff metallica normally does (well not for the \'90s but you know what I mean).
7. I was watching the trailer for the new Metallica Guitar Hero that's coming out. Rob's computerised counterpart was playing a P.
8. The Americans are the reason I love going to TB, it's amazing how different they actually are. I love the contrast.
9.
I've been a member there longer than I have here but probably only have about 20 posts to my name. I find it a bit clicky if you don't have a) an old Fender or an exotic US made custom bass (this of course is my perception). They are definitely very easily offended and have little sense of humour.
or c) Supporting Membership.
10.
haha yeah, ive had a few infractions, one was for a rick-roll link, which to be fair if Maki or Mungi posted it everyone would of laughed.
Maki and I actually got banned for the same thing the other week, both took the piss out of Fassa on the same thread.
11. I have come to realise a lot of americans don't have a sense of humour.
12.
though the search function is a pain in the ass sometimes.
The search function is indeed a joke.
13. Yes, I quite like it really. Mostly spend my time posting in OT these days. I've been temp banned 4 times and I keep going back, so there must be something there.
14. I guitar pro'd it, sounded quirky.
15. If I had 500 quid I'd be all over one of those Stingray 5s.
16.
maybe we should have kept to a key
Nah, just call it free form jazz and we'll be ok.
17. Wow, the figure on that maple top is gorgeous.
18.
Dry Bar? This isn't Club Mgriff is it? The guy is known for pay to play so maybe he's confusing you hiring the venue with his dubious practice of demanding money up front.
Cripes, if that's the case it sure sounds that's how it's happened.
19. Contact the tacked on bands yourself and politely tell them that they will not be playing, using booking error as an excuse. Does the promoter even have a clue how gigs work? I mean there's just no time for the bands to switch over, let alone soundcheck. I've experienced such people before. They seem to think more bands = more people but they never think about the logistics of the whole thing.
20. Recently got to DJ at Trillians. Judging by this picture I think I should've been called DJ Tard.
21. Because they could? I think anyone buying it would be doing it for collectable purposes, being only 1 model ever made and the fact it's made from really old preserved would and dead mammoth. Plus it's for charity.
22. http://www.spectorbass.com/NewFiles/32kbass.html I bet it has a mammoth tone.
