Rewiring a Fender Player Mustang bass?
MoonBassAlpha replied to Jean-Luc Pickguard's topic in Repairs and Technical
I made a thread about the wiring on these ages ago. Not sure about 50s wiring but it was plain wrong and useless imo. A couple of wires changed over and works properly. I agree the switch is iffy, but I haven't even checked it out, most unlike me! -
Barefaced Midget cab , Mark 1 I think. Nice condition with Roqsolid soft cover. I have this and a Super Midget T and have only used them together twice, and that was years ago. Very light cab approx 9.4kg that will handle 400 Watts all day with a relatively uncoloured frequency response. The only trade I may consider would be a Barefaced 1 10. Try out and collection from Didcot only, cheers.

Thanks folks

My email address is showing in my profile but there doesn't seem to be an option to change it. My email account is being deprecated. Cheers Virgin Media!

Hi folks, here's another nifty gadget up for grabs. It's the Blackstar B E.A.M. (bass, electric, acoustic, music) amplifier that covers all bases for playing all your instruments in the house. It also has Bluetooth streaming from your phone or tablet etc. It's stereo and has loads of effects built-in which are quite inspiring when noodling at home. Also headphone output for silent practice. 20 Watts total output and the dsp keeps the speakers under control even when playing bass loudly. Excellent condition, not left the house. Collection preferred but could post at cost. These are going for £200+ new. I'm offering to chums for £90 before I chuck it up on ebay for more. Not sure if this should be in amps and cabs section but I'll start here. Whaddya think?

For sale:£180 Trace Elliot guitar amp. Super TRamp model. Super sounding hybrid guitar amp. Has a valve in the pre-amp. Lovely warm clean channel which breaks up nicely when pushed. Channel 2 is a delicious smooth crunch tone, channel 3 adds another layer of adjustable boost taking it into pretty wild distortion. Another great feature is 2 switchable master volume controls enabling a boost in volume for any of the channel settings. All channel switching and reverb is done by 2 included footswitches. Can deliver locally. Can be tried out at full volume at my place!

Hi all. I have a couple of pairs of small diaphragm condenser microphones up for grabs. The Behringer C-2 pair are a set in a nice carry case with all accessories complete, pop shields, stand clips and stereo mounting bar. Only one has ever been used briefly and has some scratches on the body, purely cosmetic. These are a very compact sized mic. £30 (over £50 new) The other pair is by RedV and were part of their excellent drum mic set. These are more traditional sized small diaphragm condenser mics. These can be battery powered as well as phantom power. They were used on 3 tracks on Anton Barbeau 's Kenny vs Thrust album and all of the tracks on Charms Against the Evil Eye 's forthcoming album. Excellent value for £25

Oh dear! Bad memories of my last motor overheating on the way back from Paignton 2 years ago. Luckily the RAC got my going again thanks to a modern version of Radweld or equivalent.

Well done @Jean-Luc Pickguard, you made it so!

Well, listens strictly speaking, but maybe people like looking at the pictures too?

Top man! Thanks for that @lurksalot. It's one of the drawbacks of the standard Soundcloud free service is you have to start all over if you make a change to your original tune. And lose the views too.

@lurksalot I reuploaded my tune to soundcloud last night so the link has changed. It now lives here: Listen to Bicycle On The Wall by Jules Moss on #SoundCloud https://on.soundcloud.com/dTgcm

August 2024 Basschat Composition Challenge entry. As soon as I saw the photo, the repeating motif came into my head. When I was working on my cover of Todd Rundgren's I Saw The Light, I read that he thought the lyrics were a bit trite and wasn't keen on the "Moon, June, Spoon" rhyming. Thus, I put these rhymes to work in the "verse" of this tune, It's all nonsense, of course, but I think the story fits the picture, but is the world ready for psychedelic madrigal-core yet? Recorded in Reaper, Gordon-Smith GS-1 12-string, Eggle Berlin lead guitar, Mustang Bass, Gretsch drums, Nu-X MP-3 for 12-string guitar and bass sounds. Lead guitar mic'd Session Rockette amp, Cry Baby wah https://on.soundcloud.com/vb5wQiNix6Ycjt4c6
