1. Absolutely..... it's all about Branding not product.
2. Walk on the wild side - Lou reed
3. I like it..... very ZZ top I had a listen but thought the Cymbals were placed ok. I'd bring the kick and the snare up in the mix, it's quite bass heavy also. Other than that I really like it, good job
4.
I know where that went! You sold it to me off the status forums!
That was the very one.
5. Having a play through some old Beatles, Beach Boys and America...... on Vinyl of course...... scratches permitted
6. You can get replacement diaphragms easy enough. They are the foster type. I replaced both of my aggie DB112 horns in aroun half hour. Cost about six quid from eBay I would check the x-over for dry solder joints as I had the same problem couple of years back
7. Nope this works on Channel 70 which is License free and as said already compliant after DSO
8. Hi does the Akai come with any of the original box/manual etc...?
9. just over 60 Weddings this year with the function band.... not sure how many other gigs I've done probably around another 20 or so.... Next year looks ok'ish but 2012 looks to be record year for us at the moment
10. Isn't that just the Mark King head but in Black???

Question gigs

Maybe I'm outta touch with the kids nowadays but when I was doing the original circuit we only ever used to do 30-45mins for an original set..... 2 x 45 mins seems like a lot to me. We used to add two covers to our 45 mins set towards the end of the set
12.
I always thought Macca was a melodic and lyrical player with creative lines, and a good ear. Garry
+1
13. I love mine.........
14.
Ive just seen the price on that and it does look temping if i go for getting rid of both MB heads. That or the RH450.
Having tried the RH450 you need to have a play with it...... I really like this head. )
15. I have the MB2/500 and have just sent the MB200 back to GK after road testing for a while...... I think it really depends on personal taste..... I sat in the Bass merchant a year ago for a couple of hours switching between the SA450, littlemark 11 and the Genz..... The GK was nearest to the sound I was happy with.... to me not as flat or sterile as the others and definitely more body to the overall sound. I run mine through 2 x Aguillar DB112 and the sound is massive. The MB200 was good but didn't have the balls of the 500..... am now looking at the new micro fusion head.
16. AT LAST...... one not too far from me.... ;o) Count me in
17. Obviously Pissed Up selling!!
18. My baby fits me like a flesh tuxedo I'd like to sink her with my pink torpedo
19.
I wouldn't rule that out..New album supposedly coming in a years time...He'll be searching for some new sounds from somewhere. Presumably the Mark bass unit can acurately reproduce all of the Impacts sounds if the Youtube demo is anything to go by...Isn't every wave and patch 100% programmable via PC?
Nope not at all..... the Markbass synth can get similar sounds but no the same.... The Akai unit is much better at producing more of an analogue type sound than the Markbass.... I know as I bought the Markbass unit also.... If you are after getting the Muse type sounds then the Markbass will do this fine.... I use mine for more authentic 70/80's dance/disco synth bass sounds which the Akai does much better
20. That's cheap..... at the moment. I wonder when these things are going to top out? I have two myself.... one for gigging and a spare... am always tempted to sell the spare but never do. Best synth pedal I've found.
21.
I It's still true however that a phase matched DI and well mic'd bass in a good sounding room will get you a few extra % which, in my world, is certainly worth it. YMMV of course.
Couldn't agree more....

Oh Yes!

I like the bass but...... It looks like a Swan Vesta
23. My first thought is buy your missus something nice.... as you'll be spending more and more time in that room... Also I would look at buying a 5/6 way headphone amp and some half decent cans so you can wear these while rehearsing.... much better than going through the hifi
24. Had a mistake for a Halloween ball..... White Make-up all over my Graphite Kingbass..... Spent 3 hours cleaning it....
