3.
Can I get them for £14 a set?
Well..... £14.99 and cheaper if you buy 6 sets or more
 4.
The market is somewhat limited in the DBE ranges.... I've used Elites 40-100 for donkeys years. I'm sure there are "better" strings out there, but the price is good and they are consistently "zingy" - which is what I like! Recently tried some D'Addario Pro Steels on the J copy and Cort. They seem kind of "soft" for the gauge and although they have the "zing", they seem to lack tone to my ears. Might try the next gauge up.... or one day I might bite the bullet and try some "posh" strings!!
You need to try Hotwires my man!!!!

 9.
wow, what an open minded thread. Why do people have to belittle others for liking something different?
Couldn't agree more..... Good job we don't do any Level 42 covers in the show.....
 10.
You need to look past the top 10 then - The second biggest selling artist in the UK of the 1960's was Ken Dodd - quality songwriting?????
Funny that..... we were thinking of putting 'Tears' into the set ;o)

 13.
I think it is much more akin to doing the cooking from this point of view, as in, the context of being a musician/bass player. I could be cooking generic burgers in a chain pub from prepacked ingredients, knowing that people all over the country are enjoying very similar burgers, but I'd expect to be paid for that, because otherwise it wouldn't be worth my time. I'd much rather be cooking something for a few friends who I know will really appreciate it, and I won't charge them for it, and even pay for the ingredients from my own pocket. And if I know them well, it is very likely I will challenge them to try things they haven't tried before, because that's what makes life interesting.
This is true...... but then you find most of them smother the burger in Ketchup........
 14. Interested in any trades at all?
 15. Yes you can....... PTINO
 16. The Diaphragms in these cabs are the generic Foster type..... I know as I replaced both of mine. you can source originals for around £15 or get a cheapy of E-bay for around £6.00 Not sure who the horns are made by but might be easier just to buy a whole replacement unit
 17. Don't do pubs at all but a unit I played with back in the 80's/90's used to play the CIU Working mens club circuit....... they had 31,000 clubs back then..... now they have around 3-4000........

 20.
Maybe people take it all a bit too seriously.
+1
 21.
I picked up bass because I wanted to be a bass player. I can play guitar, drums and piano too, but my love is bass. If I can get myself a gig where i'm playing bass live once or twice a week, I could fake my own death happy. Truckstop
You could join a covers band......
