  1. A cat over here told me that EB no longer make fretless. I had a look on EBAY for Fretless 5. Only 1 showed up (Australia) would be about $6200NZ Not in my zone for something I couldn't play first
  2. Um. They are different things. The Hohner was well made and reliable and served it's functional purpose of readying my technique for when I could get a Steinberger. IMO there isn't another Bass like Steinberger.
  3. Yes. I had one for maybe a year-18 months I purchased it in 1988 from Charlie Jemmetts Music Store. Sold it to help fund the L2.

  6. L2 Steinberger 1983 Brooklyn. This was my first major purchase. 1990. There's actually another one in Otautahi NZ. One got stolen from a shop in Auckland c.1993 Bungalow Bills.
  7. I found a defretted one but I really wanted unlined. And a long while back a fretless 5 was in Otautahi would like to have a go on that now. IIRC it had like a switch by the knobs
  8. '76 Maple Chromes since 2005(?) Great recording bass with a valve amplifier. Actually got this from a second hand store , my lucky day.
  9. 2002 2EQ Fretless EBMM Stingray Had been looking for a 2EQ Fretless for about 5 years. Finally got lucky. Stingray is pretty common over here but fonding a fretless was a ling wait.

  11. Another attribute of this series is Ear Training/ Transcription The split mix CD's are very useful.
  12. I managed to get 8 of them last month at only $100NZ They have been really handy in this Covid Lockdown for sure. Maiden Voyage Jam Session Round Midnight Rhythm Changes Blues in all keys Minor Blues in all keys Miles Davis Herbie Hancock Thelonious Monk Are all good stuff.

  15. Diamond Bass Compressor Passive Bass w/ flats. Very nice. The Diamond is a bit temperamental with Power and/or other pedals. Apparently the new Jnr version sorts this.
  16. Overdrive Free The Tone Bass Blaster It's very good. Flats, Rounds, Fingers, Thumb, Plectrum.
  17. The Ashdown Cab under the CTM-300 is an ABM 1510HX from 1998. Nice to hear of great customer support from Ashdown.

  20. Yes. Maybe 100-125 Yes keyboards no no no no no yes no yes yes no but have on the way back no no no as better is subjective but played a number of gigs where I thought the support band was more interesting yes no no no yes
  21. I think your Pedulla is the nicest fretless I've ever played a lovely instrument
