  4. Yep too instrument for sure Gail Ann Dorsey worked with Matt Johnson (The The) that might be worth a question
  5. Gail Ann Dorsey fan boy here Such a cool musician Can you please ask her about her MTD Grendel basses?
  6. Whilst discussing Laney their Custard VCA Compressor is very good . Nice pedal
  7. I also have yet to notice any latency
  8. Steinberger L2 Fretless 2EQ Stingray
  9. Bagman

    Two compressors

I put my filters in between a VCA comp (Free The Tone) then an Optical comp (Diamond) It’s a nice option
  10. I don’t know I have never played a 2-Tek equipped instrument as before, conceptually it seems a good idea however the market said otherwise and they went bust
  11. So a light plectrum FTT Silky VCA compression and SGFX Bera V preamp f***ing rawk tone i don’t really play Rock and not big on plectrums but this is marvellous I feel 30 years younger
  12. Yes there is a 2-Tek bridge variation which I would like to have tried. conceptually it looked like a good idea to me. apparently only 50 x 5 string Flashbacks (?) is the internet version of events
  13. It’s a heavy instrument does have some balance tough when playing standing. I assume this is the extended upper horn probably 10lbs??
  14. Wenge basses here MTD Grendel Tobias Growler Warwick Flashback
  15. Warwick 5 String Fortress Flashback made in Germany 1996-98 Passive with the stock MEC pickups this instrument is very well made. I have limited idea what I’m going to use it for but possibly Rock Music Plectrum type stuff. Or even thumping and popping heaven forbid It snaps out bright this bass despite the pick ups being underwhelming strung as it arrived with Daddario Chromes. I’m think I could go smoother with this instrument possibly La Bella or I try DR Legends ( never used them). anyway there you go , a rare instrument, it looks a bit different (bling?) but once I practice enough with its string spacing (a bit narrow for me) it’ll be a keeper
  16. Idles - Gift Horse i don’t often listen to Rock Music but when I do it should kick me in the neither regions Idles certainly do
  17. Four Tops “Still Waters” is a fantastic tune with a great hook bass line.
  18. There are some NOS Sound City flats available here in Christchurch New Zealand I assume they were made in the 1970/1980’s.
  19. I got 18 years out of a set of Chromes on the Precision Current set is 16 years
  20. I like the Sadowksy Pre. I have been using one since the 1990's , a fantastic piece of kit. - passive bass it can add heft - with my MTD it's a smooth and "body" thing As per Luke FRC comment, it is a tone thing Recently I have also purchased a SGFX Beta V . This is excellent for Passive Bass to SS Amp for adding grit and depth not fuzz and brittle. It is a cool pedal.
