    Envelope filters

    I sort of went the other way but I’m thinking of a second board that has a cradle Wah first up. ( maybe a Mission Engineer) Filters are specific things…try,try,try. Also while I have spent time and $ I don’t actually use my envelope filters very much 😂😂😂. It’s just when I need it then it must sound like x or y.

  3. So a SGFX Beta DLX is available here in Aotearoa anyone have this and the Beta V ? I'm sort of interested in the boost switch options. I certainly don’t need another Bass Overdrive but it looks in good condition and ok price
  4. SGFX and DIAMOND pedals are on 10% discount until 7 July The Beta V is a nice pedal however a lot of punters think it’s “dark” I use mine with flatwound strung passive basses mainly and often with a VCA type Compression in front.

    The Crowther Prunes and Custard is a pedal that works with other pedals some (in particular Filters) go to pot when used with something else

  14. For little , quiet gigs I used to enjoy the SWR Workingman Since 1998 my #1 gigging amp has been Ashdown Klystrom 400. It’s still going strong My all time favourite amp isn’t always suitable for gigging - Ashdown CTM 300. An amazing piece of kit

  16. Yeah I put it on the Talk Bass and the conclusion seemed to be Wal Bass is potentially an investment (I don’t know)

  21. Got some very funky tones via SGFX Bi Filter in a trio last night I don’t know if it’s my favourite all time filter but it’s pretty cool

  25. Possibly too young to remember if school music was useful Can definitely endorse part time study at the Jazz School / Polytechnic when in my 30’s. I’m thinking of going back again when I retire
