How about 2 strap buttons at the bottom which will then create a stable surface to lean it against anything?

I have a Korean MTD which I love to play acoustically but I have never been happy with the tone (and believe me I tried so many different options) I had Aaron Armstrong wind me a P5 pickup and now I could not be happier. I would love it to look like a P as well but other than that I cannot fault it. Any 5er you like with a P5 in a pickup shape you can drop in will do the job. Sadly I now have a redundant second pickup rout as well as two spare control holes in my MTD. You live and learn. Eventually.

Wired my EMG for 18V instead of 9V. I was convinced that it would change my world.. Sadly there was no obvious difference apart from the rubbish rout at the back.

On further reflection, the EQ on the Monique is not the scalpel like tone control of modern amps, it is more like a broad brush which brings the goodness without trying too hard. Maybe I like it because I cannot seem to mess it up?

Hey Pete, my other cab is an ACME as well! I have not massively noticed that the bass knob/boom issue - my guess is that the DSP of the IP has covered that. I will try and see to it next time i fire it up in anger. Sorry to be less than helpful.

It is tuned the same as a standard 4 string bass, so how it could sound like anything but a bass is beyond me. A Jazz does not sound like a Precision does not sound like an Alembic does not sound like a Rickenbacker does not sound like a Turner Renaiassance does not sound like a Hofner does not sound like a Status does not sound like a Kala Ubass. But they all sound like a bass.

I have one. Useless for acoustic playing. But everything else is unless it is a DB. It needs a decent buffer preamp. But it sounds superb. It has the the low mid air shifting DB thud. Tuning issues higher up? Yes. Low tension strings? Yes, but I really like that. The world is broad and full of different opinions and that is what makes it great, but I do not consider it to be a toy in any shape or form.
