    Pete is putting a lot of time into this. He is essentially prototyping it on his his first build so there is quite a lot of to-ing and fro-ing, but I am cool with that. It is not Pete in the pic, but his Swedish intern who is over for a month.

    I have a small PA system which I no longer need. It consists of two Mackie SRM350 powered 10" + Horn cabs (inc cases) and a db Technologies SUB 12 Active Subwoofer - 1x 12", 400 watts RMS amp, 40-150Hz, 127dB max SPL, 2x XLR/jack inputs, 2x XLR parallel outputs, 2x XLR HF outputs, dynamic limiter. Dimensions (WxDxH) 520x360x500mm. Weight: 22 kg. There is a stereo crossover in the sub so you plug your mixer into that and then from that into the Mackies. It is a light and useful rig. It will not fill the Albert Hall, but it is fine and dandy for vocals and sax sort of thing for a function band. I am not including stands or leads with these, but could for extra wonga if you wanted them. £700 delivered to your door.

    I'm worried for her. She is going to be arrested soon if she carries on like that because singing and playing at the same time is against "The Bass Law". Can we get a warning message to her somehow? The upper register stuff in the Lauren Hill song in the Kiwi vid is sublime. It is really technical and to be pulling off that standard of intonation and fluidity up there is frankly not fair. But she is just using it to serve the music - as it always should be, but so frequently is not. It is just "here is a nice song with a nice accompaniment". I bet if she was a bloke she would be looking all aggressive and standing high up on a hydraulic riser with dry ice and all that.
