1. I just want a J5 in black with matching headstock that has been reliced. Or one in Oly White. Is it so much to ask?
2.
I'd love a Bravewood. Old guitars are just nice objects for some reason. And the closest I can afford these days would b a relic. I have been fortunate to own a 61 jazz master but wouldn't want to take an irreplaceable guitar to the pub.
I had a Bravewood P and have an old J finished in Nitro which is well knackered. The Bravewood pushed all my old Fender buttons completely.
3. I'll take both the Yam humbuckers. PM me the PP details. Ta.
4. I am not for a second dissing the small and lightweight thing. I have totally signed up to it and could not haul those two cabs around even if I wanted to. I am not looking at a neo vs heavy scenario. It was just exciting to have a wall of air moving. I'm sure 2 lightweight 2x15" cabs would do exactly the same thing.
5. Last Friday I was messing and hooked up a TF750 to a Warwick 6x10 and a Boogie 1516. Much as I love the whole concept of small and light and super xmax and all that stuff, it really is not the same as lots of speakers pushing a lot of air
6. ALLRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!
7. I might well be wrong, but does this not do 2 Ohm as well?

Owen - Feedback
I have fancied one of Jule's preamps, and here he is posting in my feedback. Is it a sign? Should I just buy one?
it was a sign so I bought one.

obbm's feedback

I am leaving super positive feedback before I even get my cables. That is how good Dave is! You knows it.

11. EA cabs. Lush lush lush.
12. [s]ABM Piezo Chrome - I figure 18mm spacing but will have to get my son who can actually see in mm to confirm this. No screws - £90[/s] [s]Badass V in black. Already slotted for 17mm. Inc screws £55 - prob gone. Queue of three but waiting to hear back from 1st[/s] 5 string bent plate barrel saddle no screws - £10
13. If the nicer pickguard comes back on the market can I have first dibs?
14. Variable impedance ("loading knob"). I wish more people did this. Really useful tone control kind of thing with passive basses (+ Piezo).
15. So, what register is this playing in?
16. Mmmmmm............ matching headstock!
17.
if the room is tricky or the FOH EQ isn't up to scratch, it's nice to have a para EQ and a notch filter, too.
Tru dat. However, in the past I have used all sorts and needed to back of various frequencies etc etc. With the HPF it seems to be easier. There is a variable High Pass Filter (hence name) on it and a phase reverse and between these I have not really needed any extra control. This is not to say that everything else mentioned so far is not a great piece of kit.
18. Doesn't everyone use a DB? The HPF buffers my Piezos on my yn pre-amped guitar as well.
19. I use a Fdeck HPF (http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f15/fdecks-hpf-865291/) in front of my DB and my Ubass. It makes everything sound better than all the rest I've tried. I have tried LOADS of stuff and the HPF beats them all, for me. It does not do gain or a DI, but a DI box is cheap. People talk all sorts of stuff about one DI being better than another. Once your signal is buffered properly then a cheap and cheerful DI will do the job nicely. Of course, if you are recording at SARM West and Donald Fagan is employing you, then there are certainly other options.
20. I'm digging it. I have placed an order.
21. Very easy to use small bass amp, especially if your bass has active EQ.
22. Got tickets for Manchester. Yes!
23. That's a Monique?!?!
