1. 63 P neck on 72 body for £270 in 1997. It played like a dream but our first child was due and I got all sensible.
2. Plays for the song. Leaves space. Lays it down. When the time is right less is more. In U2 that is what works. Stellar gratuitous technique or a musician working in a band context? I know which one I prefer.
3. I'll take the speaker stand. PM me how you want to be paid. Cheers Owen
4. Having thought further, the body is some sort of Warmoth type of aftermarket jobbie. It is solid wood, not ply or made up of 6 pieces of wood. It has a rear control cavity entrance as well as front. If I could justify another jazz I would keep it.
5. RATS! Imagine having a selling point like a Baddass and not mentioning it. What and eejit! It is a baddass. The body is..................... covered in white paint. I honestly have no idea I'm afraid.
6. Here is one I put together using various bits. Japanese Fender Neck. Oly White body - with mojo Tort guard. Dimarzio DP123 J pick ups. It plays well, has the magic F on the headstock (because the neck is) and is yours for £325 to your door. I am selling this for a friend and it is him in the photo. Need it you know you do. 7. The iRealbook app is superb for this, but only if you use a Mac.
8. I do not wish to raise your hopes because I am totally not in the market for a new bass, but these are lush beyond and I NEED to see pics.
9. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=142185 IIRC this will be black over most of it. There is the matter of cream binding which might or might not be a deal breaker for you. They look dead classy. Here are a bunch of pics. I do not know the exact spec of the one on here http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&r...280&bih=647
10. 3? That is nearly one for each corner of the room. Your lady must REALLY love you.
11. It's no good. I cannot let it go at the moment. I might change my mind at a later date but for now it is withdrawn. Sorry for my indecision.
12. Tragically I had even taken some but forgot to post them. I have even managed to update the Ebay ad. Thanks for prodding me. They are not 15megapixcel wonder pics but as you can see the box is in excellent nick and ready to fullfil your BASSest desires. Sorry, that is an appalling pun.

Nice arco playing

Nice arco work, but the older I get the more I sit here thinking "why do people insist on sounding like a slightly out of tune 'cello when we have access to notes no one else can play?". Also, why is this in the recording forum
16.
mmm....... I thought 5 string clear out part 2 was nice ! ....... this is every bit as nice ..... Same offer applies if interested Regards Al.
Al, I'm afraid this is WAY nicer than 5 string clear out part 2!
17.
So thinking of getting a double bass - I'm a crap bassist at best but just want to bang out acoustic - basic, lines for when we are unplugged.. Will this be any good or is it just too horrific to consider? I dunno if I can stretch to £1k for what is essentially a hobby and the odd gig for anyone foolish enough to listen to our rubbish.. g4m £429..
These are actually OK. You will need different strings - you can buy them second hand on here or on TB. Allow £60 You will need to lower the action. You can do this with a needle file. You will not be playing the great works of dead German composers on it, but you will be able to go thump thump thump. You could sell the hard case on Ebay. I have a pupil who sold her case for £180.

Sibelius?

Hi y'all! I have a Sibelius file which is no use to me because I do not run Sibelius. I need it as a Midi file. Could anyone load it into Sibelius and then save it as a Midi file and mail it back to me? TIA
