  1. Cool. Have you any other mods short-listed?
  2. What do you reckon to Teak Oil? I have a tin of Teak Oil and a tin of Danish Oil and there was little to choose between them when I applied them, one to a neck and the other to a body. Both have a sheen without the gloss.
  3. Cool. I'll watch out for that. I made lots of HiFi speaker enclosures as a yoof.
  4. PHOTO OF THE MONTH! That photo has made me concupiscent. I'll just sit here with a cushion in my lap for the next hour or so. If we're picking favourites, mine's the one at the end of the photo. When you've finished, have it washed and sent to my room.
  5. Welcome Jeff. If you are Jeffrey Arthur Berlin, then - respect.
  6. So many questions... I suppose the first one to ask is if you are doing two build topics to cover these potential beauties and give them the exposure they each deserve as they become objects of desire?
  7. You need a morse taper drift.
  8. Welcome Darren.
  9. Excellent.
  10. Hahahahaha! You could be worse. Your spell checker might have accidentally waxed your pubes and screwed your chance of nomination for the best display of short and curlies this year.
  11. I'd be careful if I were you as the corners are delicate where you plan to drill. It's where the damage is on mine. Just the corner has broken off leaving the sharpish edge of the countersunk screw exposed enough to cause discomfort if you're really digging in. I'm still hoping to get the original part one day. Thanks for the info. I hope you post your results here.
  12. It's also more stable. Remember that the moisture content of seasoned hardwood is approximately 12%. Wax is not affected by this.
  13. Normal? Guitar? I know nothing of which you speak. Heeheehee. Thanks Woody, much appreciated.
  14. I am in a similar bind with my B2A. None of the sites list the HB pick-up surround on its own. I don't want to buy a whole set of pick-ups at 142 Euro just for one surround. I'd like to have the original part though. It's the only bit of the bass that is damaged and it is just where I want to rest my thumb!
  15. Welcome SSRecords. Sir Cliff Richard once said: "I like small speakers. I like tall speakers..." I am not knighted and I'm sticking with my fifteen inch combo and eighteen inch extension.
  16. Welcome Berserker.
  17. Welcome Sarah. Yes. We call it GAS round these parts. You'll find yourself in good company.
  18. Thanks for reminding me. I have that on an iPad belonging to my house mate. I found it a little clunky to use but the touch screen was the main problem. I seem not to be able to get them to work reliably. Putting a footswitch on it and updating it might prove interesting as I haven't used it for about two years.
  19. Sorry to bring the tone of your topic down Fretmeister but I have to ask; Is PreSonus the only one that does TAB? I appreciate it is a feature that isn't a really required by composers and arrangers but having it increases access to written music.
  20. Their example image is certainly impressive:
  21. Does Hammerite have a shade of blue that you'd find acceptable? It's already a hammered finish so no need for subtle relicing. Range
  22. Actually, I reckon you are onto a good idea. Bribe one of Snailsburys trolley handlers to put your bass into every trolley train that he collects for a week!
